Anyone see IV Fluids on any Med supply store you use?

What forces the stuff from the bag through the tube and into your vein though? You have to sit there and squeezed the bag.

Needle size, drip set size, if you don't clamp the line. The bigger the needle, the faster it empties the bag.
Usually when I dehydrated and need fluids, I'll start a line on myself and use either an 18g or 20g cath. You'll get more fluid quicker with the 18g. Most guys just want a 20g in the hand but I'll go 18g in the AC.

If you want nice and slow 30-45 mins to an hour, if you use a small needle. I've given trauma pt's a 14g and had given them 1000 ml's in less than 5 mins.

You could but 2 bags of fluid are cheaper that 1 bottle

But you can only buy them with a doctor's order though, right? That's out of the reach of most of us.

My guy.... I see ya trying to macgyver this shit up for me Lol...

But for real though wouldn't have thought it was this hard.... but most sites want a order
:(

And wife said she ain't smuggling them out in her ass anymore:(

DIY is kinda my thing. Probably shouldn't be with this type of thing since I have zero medical background.

Lol. Yeah PA, you've got to have dr's orders form on their file. You could pop a hole in the cap, run your drip set through and then tie into your catheter. That's the perks for being a medic. I've had LE come to my FD not feeling good and I'd start a line on them. They know I'll take care of them. They help us on scene tons of times so an iv here or there can pay off.
