So all those gas stations listed above have met or exceeded the standards for Top Tier Detergent Gasoline. Some thing we all dont always think about when its time to fill up. But independent laboratory testing conducted by AAA shows that NON top tier fuel caused 19x more engine deposits that the top tier brands.

Pretty suprising huh? I know itll change my fuel purchasing habits. How about yours?

My local gas station sells only non-ethanol gas and race gas . People drive for miles just to fill-up here...

So knowing that i want to take it a step further. Since we know Top Tier Gasoline is better for your vehicle the next logical question is...Which Top Tier Gas is domestic(North American) and how can i better my own country and flip a bird to the Saudi's? Well lets see...

These companies import Middle Eastern oil:
Shell………………………205,742,000 barrels
Chevron/Texaco………144,332,000 barrels
Exxon /Mobil……………130,082,000 barrels
Marathon/Speedway…117,740,000 barrels
Amoco……………………..62,231,000 barrels

Citgo Gas comes from South America, from a Dictator who hates Americans (Venezuela) – so avoid Citgo.

These companies DO NOT import oil
Sinclair……………..0 barrels
* Murphy…………….0 barrels
Sunoco…………….0 barrels
Conoco…………….0 barrels
BP/Phillips………..0 barrels
Hess………………..0 barrels
ARC0……………….0 barrels
Pilot...................0 barrels
Flying J..............0 barrels
Loves.................0 barrels
Racetrac............0 barrels
Valero................0 barrels

All of this information is available from the Department of Energy and each is required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importing.

*Sold at Wal-Mart Gas is from South Arkansas and fully USA owned and produced. Not only that but they give scholarships to all children in their town who finish high school and are legal US citizens.

12 Gasoline Companies Who DO NOT Import Oil From The Middle East

Ive seen the 100% gas, NO ETHANOL available at Valero. Thats a pretty sweet move on their part. I manually calculated more mileage out of that tank of gas than my usual "blended" fuel. But also it was more expensive...seems to offset each other. More money but more miles per gallon.

Now if you have an older carburated vehicle. An option to purchase 100% pure gas is a good thing. Older vehicles dont run so well with the standard fuel these days. Which includes up to 10% ethanol.

It is Valero gas , the duners and race cars here have to have it (high compression motors). I knew Texaco , Chevron and Shell sold Middle East oil . I dont buy gas from them...

Demand for domestic oil outweighs supply here. So buying foreign oil unavoidable. But its good to fund our domestic oil companies whenever possible, right?

Oh yes , buy US gas as much as possible , if we all did they'd go away to another market .We've lost our US loyalty , Americans dont care where their money goes as long as they get it fast and get it cheap (aka Walmarts).

I worked for Exxon/BP and had chances to go overseas to their refineries. I said no I stay here. ;)

I use Hess which isn't controlled by the camel jockeys but I notice its not on your list of good companies. Now I'm just confused. Good info though.

●sinclair
●CONOCO
●BP/Phillips
●Arco
●Valero

All the above are BOTH DOMESTIC AND TOP TIER.
Only ones on the list that meet both

That Valero is grade A gas . I seen it run in sand dragsters running 1200hp and 15:1 compression . Plus its the only gas Ive run the last 9 yrs here and no probs ever reported .

For some reason Valero is always significantly more expensive in my town in CT. Usually 5-6 cents more per gallon. Why is that?? Is Valero more expensive everywhere?

If we all do our part we can slowly change the market . Word of mouth .
I mean 19x more freakin deposits using NON top tier gas is pretty damn crazy man!
A much cleaner engine with the proper detergents from the companies that met the guidelines for top tier. Now if there domestic too, win win i figure :)
