The Dark Tower movie

Alright, so i saw the movie earlier. It was entertaining, but if you changed the names of the characters and places it wouldn't even be recognizable as the dark tower. Pretty much everything that happened was not in the book.

I'm still going to check it out. If for nothing else, it leads to the series which they say will be true to the books.

They got around changing it by claiming its a sequel to the book. Hopefully the horn made the final cut

I liked the movie as a movie. Like i said it was entertaining, it's just completely nothing like the books. Seriously there's nothing in the movie that happens anything like any of the books. They kind of left it open for more movies, but even though the events were totally different they wrapped up stuff from basically every book. If that makes sense. Definitely go see it though because I'd like to hear your thoughts on it.

This is a movie based on the book "roots" where kunta kente is played by Collin Farrell.

Very disappointing movie. Didn't like it at all and I love the books. Most people I spoke with at the theatre felt the same way. Books are almost always better then the movie.

I read a review that stated if Matthew McCaughnehey and Idris Elba switched roles, it might have been a better movie. Interesting idea

They were both fine for their roles in my opinion. What would have made it a better movie would have been keeping the story even remotely intact. I kept an open mind and it was an entertaining movie, but it was the worst butchery of any of Stephen King's work ever. The Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones books all got represented pretty accurately on the screen, it really sucks they couldn't do that for us.

Probably see the Dark Tower this weekend.

Noticed that they're showing both Detroit and War for the Planet of the Apes at the same time - can't quite decide if ironic or redundant.

2017 has been the worst year for movies ever!!!! The only two coming out that look worth a damn are the foreigner and the new Death Wish with Bruce Willis.

Let's get rid of these pretty boy tough guys and bring real badasses back!!! Give me actors that are fucking believable in these roles
