Ive never been a Marilyn Manson fan...maybe briefly when he first came out in the mid 90s..
Anyway, hope he recovers from this one...

Any Chimaira fans on here?? These guys were as hard as it got in the early 2000s...but as with all good metal bands, it can only last so long before record companies destroy them all.

I was into early Manson but lost interest when he turned into whatever the heck that was after a few albums. .

I remember a few years ago working as a medic, at one of my part time jobs, at a concert and Body Count was playing. When I heard that, I really wanted to hear them play. Man they were the only black group that played on that heavy metal tour. And hearing them, color didn’t mean shit to me. Those Mf’ers could get down and bang with the best of the groups. About 8-10 groups played that night and BC, in my opinion, smoked almost everyone of them. And usually when I work as a medic at concerts, I don’t get to sit and listen to the music much, but there are a few groups that, I’ll be “out of service” to listen too. And BC is one of them.
This came up on my spotify release radar today...definitely worth a listen to...as i have already 20 times or so.

Im all for heavy music. I was the generation of Slayer and Metallica etc. They created heavy or at least made it popular. More palatable to the masses. Black sabbath being the grandfather of heavy. This crap isnt music. Its some twink growling in to a mic. Tasteless and boring. Phil Anselmo had swag and you believed it. Hetfield has swag and presence and is probably the most brilliant lyricist of our time. Slayer is just plain cool. This shit is none of the above
I grew up on Pantera and Metallica, I understand what you mean. However, there are very few bands today that can even remotely come close to them, Five finger death punch, maybe. Slipknot, again, maybe. Songs and or bands like the one above are primarily what i listen to while working out. Heavy bass, breakdowns, unexplainable lyrics, actually help me focus. Outside of that, not so much. Also, i gave the new Metallica a chance recently, i gave up after 20 seconds...

That band above got a decent sound, but yah the new bands are overproduced and over processesed. I will listen again.

As far as new generation which I mainly dislike these maniacs bring better it than anyone else today for raw brutality. Low production so they are never gonna be picked up by radio or appeal to the average spoon fed fuck stick.
These boys revive my interest in modern metal even if they are anachronistic leaning.
Not for faggots, patched this into my gym's PA thru a WiFi they thought was secure. The entire aerobics class freaked out and the gym manager didn't know how to stop it. This young army looking dude laughed out loud & nodded at me cos he knew what I did and liked it. Gym manager like to kick my ass out if he could prove it was me.
