Horrible experience on first cycle, came for advice on a second go.

I’m new to the community but have lingered through the forms for a couple years. Thought I should finally join the for and just ask for my own advice instead of trying to read everyone else’s thread. I’ve been lifting for around 6 years. I’m 25 and done my first cycle last year. I ran 750mg of test e for 12 weeks and had awesome gains (200lb-225lb). Cycle had pretty much been smooth sailing, huge libido, great gains, small side effects here and there. All and all I loved it.... until the last 2 weeks. My 11th week in I woke up with a little more chest and back acne then usual. Figured it would just go away. But I was very wrong. 2 weeks into pct (nolvadex and clomid) it had spread like wild fire. It was so bad to the point I would ruin every shirt I wore with blood. Absolutely self-esteem destroyer. Everyone would stare at the gym and it got to the point of me just not going to the gym it was so bad. Finally found the time to go to the dermatologist and got on accutain. (Pretty much to late, chest and back completely riddled with scars)

With all that being said I’m hear looking for advice about starting a second cycle. I’ve started a new job and have pushed myself back into the gym and I find myself wanting to get back on. I guess I’m here looking for advice on what some of you more avid users do during a cycle took keep this from happening again? And really just any advice you guys can give in general of giving it another go or should I not even do it again?

Were you taking an AI with that dose? Any midcycle bloods?

No i didn’t take anything withit. And no blood work either. Honestly, I thought I had done my homework and was ready for a cycle and I truthfully don’t think I was. I was just obsessed with the idea I getting bigger and stronger. Definitely another reason why I’m here now. Wanting to make sure it’s done 100% this go around.

If you do another cycle, get pre cycle bloods. And then another set 6 weeks in. It's the only way to know if your e2 is OK.

Yea man ran it for 9 month. It’s cleared up but my chest an back is so scared up I still don’t wear tanks or cut offs
My scares healed up after a while
Having a tan makes them almost invisable

Another good piece of advice is to not go over 500mg of test with your cycles. Acne sucks.

Unfortunately In my case it was extremely bad acne. The scars are very raised

Nothing necessarily wrong with
your quest per se IMO except when the obsession enables users to throw all caution out the door.

IDK the particulars but the fact youre already looking at a second cycle in spite of the complications scompels me to believe the “obsession”
is not over.

You might also want to review @Michael Scally MD ”acne” thread, as it’s much of it is evidence based.

Good luck

Deff appreciat the input man, Everything helps. It has been almost 2 years since my last cycle. I’ve only recently thought of the idea of doing another cycle now that I work a job where I can dedicate more time to the gym.

I wouldn’t necessarily say I threw all caution out the window, maybe I just didn’t do all my homework. But I understand where you are coming from.

Then as many have already suggested have labs done before running another cycle.

Otherwise a large portion of those who just “wanna get big”
are missing what being in the GYM is all about.

Oh I got the fact for many cycling AAS can be “fun” BUT everyone pays a price once PEDs are used as a substitute for natural gains.

To that end let me suggest the following:

- a list of clearly defined and ACHEIVABLE, reasons or “goals” for cycling

- a trainer as a large portion of self taught lifters waste a lot of time, effort and money in the gym with paltry results, or much less than what could be achieved
using proper form and technique

- change your DIET completely eliminating “fast food” “junk food”

- unless you’re prepared (NOT) for the adverse effects of “high dosage” AAS, limit the amount used to NO MORE than 500mg of TT, or its equivalent, per week.

- finally remember improvements in LBM take TIME, and no amount of AAS will change this physiologic FACT!
