Starting a bench press off the ground is apparently legit strength builder apparently if the bottom of the press is your sticking point, watched some famous lifter guy tutoring it.

Omfg thats a ruptured disc jus waiting to happen smfdh. I sure as fuck hope he doesn't think he looks cool doin that. Deff not a good to show to any deadlifting newbs. Godforbid if they think this is proper form smfdh lol

Yep. It's called a floor press, and actually is for strengthening the top end and lockout, not the bottom.

You are starting from a dead stop, triceps on the floor, which for most people is a sticking point at about 4" off the chest. Works great actually...

I love floor presses. I wish my programming involved them currently but it does not. Soon though...

I've put them in, instead of full bench press because I've had so many tears...
Allows me to still go heavy while still overloading my chest. Use DB press for the rest of my pressing..

That’s not a bad idea. I’m assuming you do board presses too or no?
