SLOW filtering

Hey all, so I have made up 50ml of NPP at 100mg/ml and I’m attempting to filter through at .22 syringe filter. Last time I did this it was a slow process but this time it just seems ridiculous! So far in two hours I have manged to do about 12ml. Does this sound about right to you guys? Thanks

Try a smaller syringe on the filter. I assume you're using a 50/60ml syringe?

See if that helps. The gso might be unfiltered

I’ll try a new filter in the morning a see if that helps, it will just have to sit in the syringe tonight. I can’t take any more of this tonight!

I’m actually using a 100ml syringe, fuck know why as I have a box of 50ml syringes sitting right next to me. Fml

So how fast would you guys expect this to filter?

Try 5 or 10ml syringe.
For me i filter with PVDF filter. I’ts not that extreme hard work.
Takes about 15-20min for 100ml.

My carrier is often: 70% MCT 30% GSO

Make sure the oil is warmed up a little bit. The smaller the syringe the more pressure you can exert. Larger syringes are a bad idea for syringe filters.
