Hey man. I am glad to see you are taking steps to get clean and back on your feet. I understand your struggle. I am a recovering opioid addict myself. The first time I got clean I did it myself; cold turkey. But when I relapsed and my use got much heavier, I was never able to kick the junk cold turkey after that; withdrawals were always too much for me and I always caved. I have been on an outpatient suboxone program for about 9 months now, and my taper is almost finished (down to almost nothing!), and man I am so excited to not have opioids or even a partial-agonist have any control over my life and how I feel anymore. Getting into treatment saved my life.
YOU GOT THIS MAN! I would have never been able to get clean and go through 8 months of treatment without a relapse if it weren't for the support of my wife, family, friends, and the gym. You have so much support here at Meso and you have friends like
@wedorecover who obviously care for you deeply. We believe in you, truly. Keep focusing on the positive, leaning on your friends and community when you need to, and hitting the gym hard, and you will make it man. I don't know you well, but from what I have seen here at Meso and the dedication/work ethic I know you possess, I am confident you'll be back on your feet and free in no time. The pump is the cure!
