Syringe filter and shelf life

I'm sure this has been asked already but if I'm doing the cheapest homebrew method by using precapped vials and syringe filters. What's going to be the shelf life of the product after poking a hole in the rubber stopper? Because I've seen guidelines on a vial of prescription test cyp to dispose after 28 days of first poking it. Thanks.

It will last years as long as it’s not in direct sunlight and is stored in a cool dry place. Personally I don’t tear the metal cover totally off I place it back over the top again. It probably won’t make a difference but if your not using it for ages personally I would put tinfoil over the top if you have a flip off.
