I’m all about over penetration.

My issue is, I’ve personally seen in real life, someone getting shot with 9mm and not going down.

I’ll never carry one. My nightstand gun is a 9mm tho
Not to put my business out there but I got hit with 7.62 and could still fight. Nearly bled out, I pulled security for my Medic while he was saving my life.

Nothing against any of that arguments, but I agree and disagree.

Shot placement is king. 100% agrees . But a 45 or 10mm is going to do more damage, and have more knockdown than a 380 or a 9mm

When I have to shoot someone , it’s because they are an immediate threat. And when they are an immediate threat, I want it neutralized as fast as possible. If that means 2 .45s vs 3 9mms, then so be it

We all have our reasons for which caliber we prefer. Mine are 2 fold. Obviously its easier to shoot a 9 in every aspect. Also i read a couple enormous studies on ballistics, deaths, personal defense shootings by normal people(meaning they left out highly skilled shooter like spec ops etc) and shhotouts with leo.

End results of every study i read says the caliber is nearly irrelevant
