How easy is it to break syringe filter membrane?

It depends on what filter,what syringe size(smaller syringes increase pressure) how many ml u put through it already an wether its bye hand or caulk gun I made a thread called syringe filter info with 2 pdfs of info it has psi ratings chemical resistance an volume u can put through it should answer all your questions

i have already killed a few membranes by hand...
heat and the amount/type of solvents you are using will affect this as well. guaiacol will eat through the membrane pretty fast.
i usually change my filter every 50-100ml with basic 18/2 brews and every 20-50ml with injectable orals or bases.

@Monstar
agree 100% but there is so much bad stigma associated with homebrewing so try to sound at least a bit professional and scietific

I'm lucky I haven't so far but I put 80 ml warm through whatman gdx then switch it out an I have prolly only brewed a few thousand ml in the big picture that's not that much

I've done a few batches so far and have used probably used 20+ Whatmans.

What happens when you blow through the membrane?
I use a caulking gun and so far I don't think I've had any issues.

Does the oil just blast through the filter really fast?
