Construction thread... Show off your work!

I had one of those really bad like 5 years ago. It was on a weekend and was broke so couldnt go to a doc. That sunday morning I soaked it in hot water/white vinegar/peroxide and something else, maybe it was epsom salt. Went out in the garage so no one could hear a grown man sob, smoked a fat bowl and began trying to pry it out with the wifes metal scraper thing and some small needle nose. got it up and out and the fucker had a point on it that was digging in causing most of my pain. soaking it made the nail soft enough to do it and I was able to put the cotton tip from a qtip under it to keep it up and out. there was some pus but no infections. Kept it clean and peroxided daily with some neosporin. Although it hurt like a bitch doing it, the relief was almost instant.

Havent had any issues since and Im honestly glad for that. I know how bad these are and the pain that goes with it. Hope its feeling better.

well played mate, i thought about drugging myself up and doin the same but i couldnt touch any kind of drug as i has a urine drug test for work 2 days after i arrived.

your right tho once it was done it was instant relief.. i feel like a new man now. i dropped a box of chocolates to the lady yesterday for helping me. very thankful

Always like your posts, I was majoring in computer programming but I can tell it's not for me. I had a hard enough time with a python class and when I hear guys who actually program for a living talk shop I can't imagine myself grasping it this late in life. Cheaper, better, chinese programmers plus I have a felony. I was going to work in networking but figured my chances were better with programming as a felon.

Probably going to keep looking at networking or a business degree since I know CNC work. About to start back up at the tool and die shop. I'm jealous of the stuff you guys post in this thread, I run the same part 3,000 times lmao

It's fun work but it can make you want to eat a bullet when it doesnt want to work correctly lol. Here was the last 2 days of my life. Bank conference room in Manchester NH. Small system, nothing major. It's a basic conference room with audio and video teleconferencing. 80" or 90" monitor, can't remember. Classic new England town. As always up this way, lots of brick lol20190412_145734.jpg 20190412_075346.jpg 20190412_075356.jpg 20190412_075404.jpg

yeh mate i gota strip and i knw what ur thinking.. its gona be a cunt, once the face shutter is off it wont take much

i got a rule if i build it i strip it then my ears wont burn
No doubt. Unless you have experience with concrete formwork nobody can appreciate the craft in it. You gotta build with stripping in my mind. Beautiful work man, your a true craftsman.

thanks mate, i like it when someone understands the process of formwork. small awkward formwork can be the hardest ones sometimes and its purely the stripping part that becomes the headache

Met with Magnolia the other day. Jesus Christ he said off top of his head I’m looking around 15k FML. I think I’m just going to have them pre wire everything and go ahead and install the network. Putting some ceiling mounted WiFi something or another idk for good signal because of the size of the house. Cat 5 something blah blah blah.

It would be cheaper to buy the shit and fly you down and pay u to install it.

Cameras are no biggie. Got all the shit and got 14 x. 4 megapixel cameras. You won’t be able to spit on my property without me see it lol. Gonna run hdmi to the office, living room and master TVs from the camera dvr so I can flip it anytime and look.
