Capping Vials ? Sterility

Hey,
Im new to homebrewing... so my question is,
I got a bunch of vials, rubber stoppers and the top thing (cap?)
How do you even put them together? Do you need a crimper and how about the sterility ?

I guess you have to wash everything with alcohol first ?

Bump, Did the thread listed above answer your questions. Yes you will need a crimping tool. If you are crimping large mouth vials you will need a 20mm crimper. If the caps have a plastic flip off on them then you will need a 20mm flip off crimper. They are different than the regular 20mm aluminum cap crimpers. And if you are using smll mouth vials same as above except the crimpers are in 13mm size. And as far as sterility goes, There are 2 threads going right now here in Homebrewing and they are recent that outline how to perfectly sterilized things without presence of autoclave if you are just a normal homebrewer. Check em out.

The reason I suggested for you to read the XKawns home brewers Bible is because that thread will take someone from zero brewing knowledge and teach them enough to be able to begin brewing on their own. From the types of questions you have asked, I am afraid that your background in brewing is lacking. I believe reading that thread would be highly beneficial for you

Thank you man i get what you say, honestly the actual brewing part is pretty damn easy, was reading a lot about that... but never really thought about the vials and sterility problems !

^^^^^ Definately correct. Good advise to go check out the brewers bible. Even knowledgeable guys should read any literature on their trade or hobbies.
