Steroid Powder Hidden in Imported Chinese Cat Food

Come on now, I know some shipping details are kind of obvious sometimes but we don't really need to publish it. My fear is our "normal" will change and shipping details will be spoken about more regularly. Meso has been changing for the worse, don't continue that trend.

It's probably good to post it here because customs already knows about. And everyone should know that customs knows.

Official government press release:

Philadelphia CBP Seizes Testosterone from Hong Kong and Steroids from the United Kingdom

Release Date:
March 13, 2020

PHILADELPHIA – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers seized testosterone and steroids in separate express delivery shipments last week at Philadelphia International Airport.

On March 9, CBP officers seized 100 tablets of Oxandrolone that arrived from the U.K. and was destined to an address in Burlington County, N.J. The parcel arrived on March 5.

CBP officers found nearly five pounds of testosterone 17 heptanoate in these two bags of cat food from Hong Kong.

Also on March 9, CBP officers inspected a parcel that contained two bags of cat food. Inside the two bags, CBP officers discovered a white powdery substance and identified it as Testosterone 17 Heptanoate, a Schedule III Controlled Substance. The shipment weighed 2.15 kilograms, or about four pounds, 12 ounces. The parcel arrived that same day from Hong Kong and was destined to an address in Philadelphia.

CBP officers screen international travelers and cargo and search for illicit narcotics, unreported currency, weapons, counterfeit consumer goods, prohibited agriculture, and other illicit products that could potentially harm the American public, U.S. businesses, and our nation’s safety and economic vitality.

“Customs and Border Protection will continue to examine express delivery parcels and seize illicit products, such as these steroids and testosterone, when we encounter it,” said Joseph Martella, CBP’s Area Port Director for the Area Port of Philadelphia. “CBP officers remain vigilant in enforcing our nation’s laws and in intercepting dangerous products that are likely manufactured in unregulated and unsanitary facilities that may potentially harm American consumers.”

CBP seized an average of 3,707 pounds of narcotics every day across the United States last year. Learn more about what CBP accomplished during "A Typical Day" in 2019.

CBP's border security mission is led at ports of entry by CBP officers from the Office of Field Operations. Please visit CBP Ports of Entry to learn more about how CBP’s Office of Field Operations secures our nation’s borders. Learn more about CBP at www.CBP.gov.

I didn't click on the link. Wicked afraid of viruses right now :(

1 X-rays easily detect the raws density doesn't match that of typical cat food.

2 Such food might be inspected more closely now as they might be made out of bats or something containing the virus.

Is this really something that cat owners do?
Legit buying their cat food from China?

Seems insulting to the poor cat. "Got you some new food from China, Mr. Peepers, (mumbling under breath) because i fucking hate you, you ammonia piss stinking, furniture ruining asshole!"

Wow 100 tabs of Oxandrolone led to the creation of this entire article lol. And possibly even a visit to the receivers address for questioning. One of the reasons I laugh when people say they wont do anything for small quantities, than can do whatever they like when they like depending on the day and case load.

Thing is though that Customs agencies have seen pretty much every single "stealth" smuggling method going long before some of the supposed "kings of stealth" on meso etc were even born.

Hidden in catfood, anal lube, ketchup packets, shampoo bottles, made in the shape of a dildo etc, all been tried by smuggling operations other than those smuggling AAS long ago. Even Redicat's infamous "paper bolics" back in the 00's, as radical in the AAS world as it was at the time, was essentially just what others had been doing with the likes of LSD for decades.

UK Customs, for example, have been in business for many hundreds of years. Quite possibly the oldest LE organisation in the world. They've pretty much seen every method anyone could dver conceive.

Not only that, as MSG pointed out, why the fuck would anyone in the US go to the trouble of importing small quantities of cat food from China, rather than pop to the nearest shop? Pallets of the stuff for commercial reasons maybe, but a 2kg bag? Just why? The idea thst someone would do that is just silly, let alone someone who doesn't even have a Chinese sounding name, like Earl T Weisenberger III of Hicksville, USA. If a package like that is opened for a random inspection, any Customs officer with half a brain & who isn't rushed off his feet is going to think "hmmmm".

Agree with Millard - they only have to see the method once & that's the cat out of the bag. All it takes is a random inspection too.
