As has been mentioned, fresh made rice is 10x easier to put down. I love putting salt, garlic, cilantro, and lime juice in there. Give it a little chipotle Mexican vibe.

NoAnyone concerned about Arsenic in rice?
Arsenic should leach out and be washed away in rinse water. You should be.
Me personally, I don't subscribe to arsenic. You should be.
LolYou can rinse away some arsenic if you soak overnight and rinse and rinse.
helpful if you avoid Texas rice. California is cleaner.

Usually add some stock to the rice and cook it in that so it holds all the flavour and isn't bland AF. You can get chicken/beef stock already made up, but i really rate using some you've already made naturally from roasting a joint of meat or a whole chicken (...if you have the time).Cleaning up the diet after this covid mess. I got lazy and had been eating trash.
Anyways, I've always avoided rice as a carb source. It's pretty bland and boring. A bodybuilding diet doesnt always equate to the most satisfying experience flavor wise. And I'm cool with that. I'm eating for a purpose, but I'm not afraid to spend plenty of time in the kitchen.
Been eating sweet potatoes, red skin potatoes, other veg and the occasional bread, very rarely some pastas for carbs. So any suggestions for other good carb sources or any tricks anyone has for adding some flavor to rice would be greatly appreciated.
Currently cutting on 2700 cals. Macros are at 45% protein 35% carb 20% fats. Sitting at about 230 pounds looking to diet down to around 210 to 215 probably. Cutting down to around 10% BF.
Thanks.
I'm no expert at cutting weight, any suggestions are welcome.
That's why I only use rooster broth. The roosters pass the heavy metals to the hens through their semen.Just a thought on stocks and bone broths. You’re boiling out heavily metals that have accumulated in the animal from their food.
go organic meat and you can safely boil the cones for stock.
Yessss this!!!!!! Been doing this and its amazing.Big secret to rice is cooking it correctly.
After that, I’ve been mixing my meat in with my rice and stir frying it with soy sauce. Supremely edible.
