Depends on person, size of stones, a d gow many.
I have had them and the big ones hurt like hell. 1 big one and some small ones. I have passed all mine naturally. Cant comment on recovery because I was back at it after passing them

If it’s small enough that you can pass it there is no recovery time. I had one big enough to where they had to go up my dick to destroy cause it was too big to leave on its own but not so big where they had to laser my kidney. That stone didn’t hurt till after the surgery. Was pissing bloody fire and because of the stent they left it felt like my kidney was gonna burst every time I pissed. Depends on what you mean by recovery, the uretroscopy you leave the same day once they know you can pee, the other one they keep you at least one night. Besides the constant feeling that someone is squeezing your balls and painful pissing which lasted a couple days there aren’t really a lot of restrictions. Maybe take it easy a couple days.
Re passing the stone, most might think it’s painful when it’s going down your urethra, but unless it’s very sharp which I’m not sure it’s even possible, it’s painless. The one I passed on my own I didn’t even notice it coming out, and after the surgery I pissed a bunch of chunks, didn’t hurt just felt weird cause it was a bunch of solid pieces coming out of something that passes liquids. The painful part is when it’s passing thru the ureter, like that feeling you get after your ballz are kicked and the pain travels up to your kidney except way more intense, but once in the bladder it’s all good.
Also the stent removal wasn’t painful, just felt weird when the scope was going into the bladder, dr told me to act as tho I was about to pee lol

Thank You. Did it effect any other areas of your body? What about sex? Was there any doscomfort from getting hard?

Passing them on your own definitely no issues. After the surgery tho I didn’t bother trying those 1st few days cause of the pain, plus I assumed if it hurt to pee it would hurt to jizz, but like I said the pain was gone after a 2-3 days. No pain getting boners tho. Only thing I saw was I had a little blood in my precum.
In short the only thing impacting sex would be the couple days of pain after, and the blood and definitely no issues beyond that. That’s only if you need the surgery tho, passing naturally you wouldn’t even have those minor issues after.
I asked 3 urologist involved in the surgery if the operation would cause boner issues and they all told me it’s not possible, there’s no chance of nerve damage like with prostate surgery.

Actually my family member. They had to go to the hospital. But thats all the info I recieved. I havent heard from them since. So idk if they got out or what.
They were very ill. But dont know anything else. So was curious, how bad can bad be, and what its like.
all i know is they were given medication to help and they said it was terrible.

The medication they give you can have some side effects, painkillers are pretty obvious in their issues, and they’ll give you an alpha-1 blocker like tamsulosin to help you piss which can cause retrograde ejaculation or ghost loads. Noticed when I took it I jizzed out like a drop, but I don’t think they cause ED only the ghost load which returned to normal a day after stopping it.

Mine hurt like a mother fucker. Once it passed, I felt fine. No recovery time.
Did it make anyone sick, nauseaus or fever?

About 12 hours. I thought I was going to die. lol. And then the pain was suddenly gone. Just like that, I felt fine.
So far their kidney stones has lasted 7 days of death like pain. Wtf?

My big one, a little bigger than a popcorn kernel and with sharp gnarly bumps on it took a couple hours to pass. The reason I was able to pass this one was, I was at work, it was hot as fuck and I was drinking water by the gallon. I passed it in the waiting room, asked for a cup and went to the bathroom. The pressure of all that water and not being able to hold it shot it out in the cup. Almost instant relief short of the burning as it sliced on the way out.

7 days damn, surprised they havent done ultrasound or surgery yet
Wow a popcorn kernel dam. They went to hospital and they gave the person stuff to help it come out eventually. Medication.
sounds like they broke it up in pieces cause there are some that passed and some didnt. At the hospital

Yeah it sucked and wouldnt wish it on anyone. I still pass them from time to time. Usually can tell because I have some kidney pain, then later hear it hit the porcelain lol, small enough no real discomfort

The one I passed like 10-14 hours, but the pain lasted for like 8 hours and was gone once the stone was in the bladder.
Pfft try nearly 3/4”x1/2”. The first one I passed on my own was like a bb tho, maybe slightly bigger.
