I know this 4 years late, but like me, some newbie is also going to venture into this thread (especially from Canada) and I just want to give pointers from my experience to help them, hopefully.
1. On most forums, you'll find a certain attitude/rules towards specific questions, like sources etc. This is to protect people, sources etc. and makes sense. Don't take it the wrong way, however, don't impulse buy gear from an easy-to-get source, like online sites.
2. When people re-iterate "Do Your Research" a 100 times on every single forum, it's because these questions and discussions have been happening for a looong time, and while you are new to the game, most are veterans and have made the effort to answer questions previously, that can be accessed by spending sometime online. The fact is, that injecting yourself with compounds or orally taking them is a dangerous game. and this is where you need to read, read, read. It's almost like a rabbit hole, because the more you research, the more concepts you'll find, and you almost might change your mind after reading through everything, which is probably best unless your a doctor with a lot of knowledge and experience with anabolics. Either way, it would be an understatement to suggest that doing your research is only the beginning...and do it to a point where when you go to see your doctor for blood work, your telling him/her about what needs to be checked.
3. UGL's as you can imagine are a sensitive topic - people have been burned. It's sad that there is corruption in everything around us. Even in Canada, where people claim to be the best of the best, you'll find assholes faking product to make a quick buck, not realizing they are playing with people's lives. Some labs have consistent high ratings, Syn, Pareto to name a few. In my early experience with getting gear, I bought some Teragon and Metabolic stuff online, after that I started getting major PIP and I felt it was underdosed, and turns out many people complained about the same stuff, I then bought a roidstest kit and started confirming etc etc...wasted money, although I liked the experience of doing my research and getting answers, there was a certain level anxiety that came with "using a fake product", cuz god knows whats in it right?
Overall, if your new to this, I wish you the best, enjoy the research, don't fret about it, it's your liver, kidneys, heart and much more at stake. If you need some more tips and feel like your lost, I'll try to reply back for any answers I can provide.
