Ester length

Does anyone have a list of shortest to longest esters and there melting points? Also as a side question do melting points change after the addition of BB, BA, EO, G?

See the list below. I don't believe that esters change melting points when adding other things to them. I rarely have to bring anything above 150F.

Formate 1.5 days
Acetate 3 days
Propionate 2 days
Phenylpropionate 4.5 days
Butyrate 6 days
Valerate 7.5 days
Hexanoate 9 days
Caproate 9 days
Isocaproate 9 days
Heptanoate 10.5 days
Enanthate 10.5 days
Octanoate 12 days
Cypionate 12 days
Nonanoate 13.5 days
Decanoate 15 days
Undecanoate 16.5 days

Now list the carboxylic acids that make those salts and esters. I bet you can't. How many years of Ochem have you taken? Make sure you give me proper nomenclature too.

Wow man calm down. I didn't come up with that list and the days. The guy asked for a list of esters and I found one for him. Have a good holiday.

Acetate is shorter like Propionate

Thanks for the help, now back to your thread.

Iam not sure, but why I cant posted in this section ? There is a rule for sources, but this section is not about any business , its only about brewing. Think that I have little experiences what I can share with others.
