Construction thread... Show off your work!

Price gouging due to the riots?
I read that production mills were behind or limiting production resulting in low supply so essentially yes, price gouging. I jokingly told a guy at the gas station today that if he showed up to my house with the lumber I needed, I got a hundo waiting for him. He said deal. Hes a tweaker I think or whatever else is floating around these days...so I'm sure hes on a mission right now

You mean 100$ wouldn’t buy the lumber for your small work table? Damn. That is crazy!

Union carpenter
I prefer framing over drywall but here goes some picks
Couple things I have done over the last 14 years in the union.
Did non union before for 15 years.
They topically put me on ceilings because I am 6'4" soe I use less equipment to get up there [emoji23][emoji28][emoji23][emoji28][emoji23][emoji28][emoji23][emoji17]20160126_145924.jpg20180125_120419.jpgMessage_1553788962511.jpg20190607_115021_HDR.jpg20181003_131403.jpg20191119_164816.jpg20190121_105236.jpg20190607_113956.jpg20190305_055410.jpg20180425_073425.jpg20170621_094150.jpg20180710_144209.jpg20200122_144748_HDR.jpg20201109_061752.jpg20201109_061552.jpg

Been a bit since I posted here.
Figured I'd throw up a few rough days at the office.
Fucker on the boom truck didnt know how to handle her, so fucked my day lol
@Human_backhoe had to jump in and take the chute so the ass didnt do anymore damage lol.
Had my work cut out for me that day lol
(Specs called for a 15mpa, we knew it was a shit show, so we hammered her with 32C2.. not my first rodeo)20210301_122300.jpg

Just a form pour with @Human_backhoe
Had our wives on the dildo, then we circled back on the finish.

Topping slab pour.
Original shit was done in winter,.... (Negative 30°) ... so no possible way to wait enough to power trowel... too much electrical/mechanical stubs in the slab on grade... so no option for power screed...so we hung all the interior walls off the trusses and poured up to the bottom plate.
Nice and easy, just have to think outside the box a bit lol

Thinking of buying this house, got a viewing on Friday but I am not handy atall with anything construction related

Can anyone have an educated guess at what these dark spots are, (I'm guessing damp) also what could be the cause and what the remedy would be along with a cost estimate

Thanks for the heads up @Human_backhoe

Yeah, I own a Hazmat company,
I'm a carpenter, but margins were too good to pass up on Hazmat lol.
Couple questions

1. What climate do you live in? (South or north U.S)
2. Exterior finish on the building?
3. Mold growth is only on exterior walls, or interior partitions as well?

With those 3 I should be able to 99% figure out what's up and what you need to do.

As for pricing the issues.
I would be so far off it would be insane.. as we are a Union company and I'm in Canada

@Brandaddy is the guy for that stuff
Hes a flip monster.
