Thinking of selling legal supplies we use

I have been considering selling only legal items that we all use. Everything from vials, pins and labware to whatever you guys request that might move decent.

What are your thoughts?
Would you use the site if they were cheap and good quality?

One stop shop is what I'm thinking of. Any suggestions or could this be bad? Let me have it, all thoughts welcome.

I would say go for it, man. If you have the resources to do it at a competitive price, why not? Presence on forums is a nice thing too... I liked it when the lab suppliers were active on here.

My only word of "advice", or maybe caution, if you're going to sell legal items... Have a legit legal business if it's possible. I have no clue what kind of licensing might be required to sell medical supplies, if any, but if you're not operating legally... You're not that far away from the risk that an AAS source is undertaking. Tax evasion, operating without a business license, etc are no joke, legally speaking. If that's not possible, cover your tracks like you're selling drugs... I would give this part a lot of consideration. Most people don't realize the red tape you gotta cut through to have a legally operated business... It is not easy, but it can be very rewarding.

How would you get them cheaper than the next guy? You'd have to buy in bulk and/or haggle with suppliers.

Start up costs could be steep in that event, and you may have to sit on some items with expiration dates for a long time if they don't sell.

Also, some states are real anal about needles. Though i doubt anyone would come after you, you may still be breaking the law.

Buying in bulk definitely.
Yes I would be holding a full inventory. Many sites have been doing it a while and charge a fair amount above wholesale these days.

The only thing I need here in my state are a simple llc and pay taxes on my sales etc....

Would of course verify any legalities.

Would definitely check all legality boxes and report taxes. Eventually would like to expand it.

Everyone feel free to list any must have items and the preferred brands or sizes.

I'll start crunching numbers and doing some research on all aspects. Also have to build a website to host it.

What about all the "other " supplies. Making them full kits has never been done yet either.

Home phlebotomy supplies sold as a kit. (Needle bag tubing band check valve etc)

Pump with inline filter

Full sterilization kits

It would be worth the little extra in labor to take the guess work out of purchasing for members new to brewing and DIY

Filters sold as a kit. I transitioned to glass funnel with a membrane and it was a serious pain in the ass to figure out what pieces would fit with other pieces... Nothing was very clear from the specs on any sites. I eventually found something that sort of works but I still ended up getting a flask that's way too big for pretty much any brew I do. If I had found a site with everything together with someone selling it that had AAS in mind, it would have been a lot easier. Made me want to just go back to syringe filters...

A basic, intermediate and advanced brew system package would be nice also.

Media bottles. Simple vial options... A lot of the sites selling these have way too many options. If I were building a site like this, I'd try to keep it as simple as possible... A value option and a premium option for most products.

You just nailed it. This is what I was thinking. I won't label it for aas but I would have it in mind with the layout. I've been all over the web lately looking for 1 item at a time basically and many times when I find something, key details were left out.

Exactly what I was thinking. Whole kits or the option to purchase individually made easy.

The expiration dates are a good point. Ill have to pay a small fraction more for buying a smaller quantity until I see how quickly it moves compared to dates marked.

I think this is a great idea. Like @Eman said, kits for different levels: basic and premium but also: newbie, intermediate, advanced.

Making it idiot proof and easy to navigate would make your idea work great. Most sites offer too many options and it can be frustrating even when you know what you’re doing.

Home phlebotomy kit? Does anyone actually draw their own blood with a 16ga needle? That takes a nutsack and a half.
