Few people really want impartial and consistent application of the rules. They want "others" to be banned for breaking the rules. But they also want impunity for violating the same rules. Basically, the impartial/consistent application pisses everyone off in cases like this.

in my opinion:

naps threat was "i am GOING TO"

BBBG's response was "on the CONDITION that you make good on said threat, this will be my response"

I dont think a conditional threat is a direct threat. Nor was the conditional threat unlawful. Self defense, especially on ones own property, is not unlawful. But this isnt a court of law, and the forum owner has the ability to interpret as he desires.

It's very easy. If you violate the following rule, you will be banned:

"Threats of physical violence, including threats of sexual violence, against members and/or their family members are prohibited."

We're not in kindergarden. The ''well, he did it first'' defense doesn't make anyone exempt from following the rules.

It's really amazing how many people have a problem with this simple rule.

Even in cases when someone posts an active hyperlink (in violation of the rules) and someone quotes it, they are not banned.

If is very annoying to have 10 people quote an active hyperlink to tell the OP not to do it. Because someone has to remove each and every hyperlink and the workload has been multiplied x10 no matter how well-intentioned the quote posting was.

If you just reported the active hyperlink violation instead of quote posting, it would be much more helpful. Very few members bother to report it in spite of repeated requests.

Side note- I ordered from naps fucking years ago. Like maybe 8 years or so. Got the pack and it was like two vials. Fast forward like a year and a half later, I’m living in a new place and a random package gets forwarded to me from the old place- a fucking duplicate order. That shows me they have years of data and it floats between reshippers in some giant terrifyingly unorganized database. Fuck naps.
