Bp still too high to start cycle?

In 2014, the FDA approved a generic version of an antihypertensive drug that lowers blood pressure more consistently than other classes of medications and has ancillary longevity benefits.

The side benefits of this drug include improved insulin sensitivity, enhanced mitochondrial activity, and better endothelial function.5-12 Preclinical research indicates that it may also help control body weight.6,13,14

. . .

Telmisartan (trade name Micardis®) was first approved in 1998.36 In 2009, following the results of the ONTARGET trial, it was the first drug in its class that the FDA allowed a claim that it “reduces the risk of heart attack, stroke, or death from cardiovascular disease in patients at high cardiovascular risk who are unable to take ACE inhibitors.”37

What should pleasantly surprise members taking antihypertensive drugs now is that telmisartan has displayed longevity benefits above and beyond its ability to control blood pressure 24 hours a day—and it recently became available in genericform, making it more eligible for health insurance coverage.38,39

Awesome man. Yea my doc prescribed me lisinopril. But going to see of i can take this instead

lisinopril did not work well for me. It worked ok on blood pressure with HCTZ, but I had a hard time with the sides of being on a diuretic. So I switched to telmisartan and haven't looked back.

Just increasing my trt from 150 to 200. My no average went from 125 to 132. Not that big of a deal. But I also noticed. That by blood pressure is also more sensitive to caffeine and preworkouts. Prolonged high blood pressure leads to congestive heart failure.

Currently running 350mg/400mg per week of test c/primo e plus 25mg ED proviron and 20mg ED Cialis. On week 5.

I have a Lazle at-home blood pressure monitor. When I first sat down a few minutes ago my bp was 139/88, but after a few readings sitting down relaxed it dropped to 128/80. Should I go by the first reading or the reading I got after having sat down for a few?

Update: Just checked it again and it’s 123/76!!

Update 2: 121/80

So it seems as though the longer I sit down and chill out the lower my bp gets. Any sort of mental or physical activity that causes tension in my body raises it then I guess? So when I’m not busting my ass in the gym am I supposed to focus on being as chilled out as possible? The updated values are nearly spot on!

Yes, sit down and relax a little before you take your blood pressure.

Whenever I get a bp reading at a doctors office it’s always high, and as I described yesterday, my bp doesn’t drop to a healthy range unless I’ve been sitting down relaxed. Doesn’t this mean that as I am going about my day with work or whatever that my bp is high? Is it not supposed to ALWAYS be at a healthy level? I mean I suppose the fact I can get it to a normal reading while on gear PERIOD is not too shabby, but still...

Personally I got a eco cardio gram this year. This is year one of TRT for me. Good to have a baseline to refer back to. Might be something to consider given your family history.

I did an echocardiogram back in March, cost me $600, but showed normal everything and absolutely no lvh so yay lol. What did yours show brother?

Totally get what you are saying. My bp is good (125/70) in a perfect setting as in no kids around, not working, no stress etc but that never never happens in real life. So most of my life it’s high, so I really rely on real world readings. I checked it after work etc after I sit for maybe just a few mins. I think that’s more accurate.

Every thing is all good with my ticker! Glad it's good for you too.

Although I am going to cut down on Hiit cardio and switch up to a lot more liss! I'm lazy and don't want to spend a ton of time on cardio so always did hiit only. @Mac11wildcat warned my about that one lol.

Also gonna keep compound to Test, Primo and Var only. Not worth using anything else for me.

Why LISS and no HIIT? And what's the danger of it?
