I dunno, I'm still on the fence about it... I have some pre-made Test E in MCT coming this week and if I don't react badly to it, then that's what I'm going with.

I'm very partial to GSO. It's simple, cheap, effective, and just about all the local grocery stores carry it. It has worked for me for the past 8 years. Convenience is important to me so I figured I would ask.
Why not grocery store bought MCT oil? Some of my high end grocery stores sell high quality MCT, not bottom of the barrel Walmart stuff. You mention it comes pre filtered and sterile. To me, it's a moot point as I filter all my home brews twice. Overkill sure, but I prefer erring on the side of caution.
Any canucks have a G2G MCT brand recommendation?

You can use high quality grocery store.. lab grade is just usp grade.. I find it's thinner.. and it's sterile and prefiltered.. which I know we filter.. but the clean the oil is to start with.. the longer the filters last before clogging from impurities.. that's how it was explained to me.. hogh.quality products = high quality ingredients..

One of the advantages of MCT over GSO is the shelf life. Although after adding BA and storing in vials I wonder whether GSO's shelf life is extended.

For me as a newbie brewer the thing that puts me off GSO is the short shelf life.
MCT has a shelf life of like 1/2 years, GSO is supposedly in the months.

I tried MCT oil and liked it very much as even 3 ml shots with MCT based gear don't make knots and no pip either .takes less time for filter and pin

That's what I heard and it makes sense but it can be more fragile to heat fluctuations and what not.
If MCT works well for me next week, then that's what I'm going with in the future.
If not, it'll probably be castor oil or GSO.

GSO is a polyunsaturated oil with vitamin E. It is very gentle when coming in contact with skin, doesn't clog pores and is absorbed rapidly.
MCT being a saturated oil tends to clog pores, can irritate skin.
I'm gonna be honest with you and here's the ultimate test.
Beat off with GSO and you'll have no problems at all, your skin will be well conditioned and in top form.
MCT on your dick is gonna cause irritation and cause the skin to break down, clogging pores.
Whenever in doubt about a carrier oil the "dick test" is the gold standard of what oils work best.
From the dick test I've ruled out Olive Oil(virgin to refined), mct, mig840, avocado. These are all mono and saturated fat oils, they'll eat your dick up.
Oils that are polyunsaturated that your dick will love is Sunflower Refined and the best is GSO. Without a doubt GSO is the best of the best and that's why it's not only the dick butter of choice, it's the best injection carrier as well.
I never start a brew without first making sure it passes the dick test.

Jet what constitutes “quality” MCT? (Legitimate inquiry)
Quality= c8 and c10 fatty acids only and if you can find a brand that is filtered multiple times for increased clarity that's even better.
Any mct oils that contain c12 fatty acid tends to cause bad pip in my experience.

i can tolerate MCT if i preheat it. but shooting mct in cold always results in a massive welt the following day
i dont know if cold MCT oil settles differently in the body or what in a bad way, but preheating it seems to do the trick
