Weight today was 201.2

Workout was,

X1 comp deadlift @ 635
5x1 speed deadlift @ 495

635 was pretty easy. Tried 650, got it off the ground fast but could feel it slipping in my hands at my knees so I let it go. Probably a good idea because I didn't rip my hand open two weeks out trying to grind a deadlift. Lol. Sucks knowing my grip isn't up to par

I'm pretty sure that's the last finger I do due to the way I setup. I purposefully internally rotate my shoulders, then when I go to pull I externally rotate my shoulders while locking my lats into place. I'll have to give it a shot. Maybe I'll just put some gorilla glue on my hands right before the lift. Lol. Everyone will be hitting PRs that day. Ha. Jk

Use some Atlas stone tack (Dunno what it's called lol) grip for days.

I should try that as my hands get real sweaty and it gets hard to hold the damn bar on deads and bench, LOL.

Need the liquid stuff as regular chalk is verboten at my gym.

3xamrap nautilus lat pulldown @ 110
3xamrap nautilus row @ 110
4x10 hammer curls @ 55
4x10 tricep pushdowns

I plan on probably hitting my opener once or twice on Thursday depending on how it feels. But wanted to get in some lighter bench today to keep the movement fresh considering I haven't had much volume the last couple weeks on bench

Yeah. Just trying to stay together at this point. I feel pretty good ATM. So hopefully if I can stay healthy I can more or less start hitting it hard again right away after the meet.
Just be careful at this critical juncture and not get injured. Stay safe and strong!

3x10 face pulls
3x8 reverse curls with 5 second negative
3x10 cable lateral raise

Figured 475 will probably be my opener. Did a nice warmup and then hit it a few times. Moved pretty smooth. Lower body is starting to feel a bit stiff. But this was my last heavy squat and I probably won't do any more "heavy" deads. So I should be feeling fresh next Saturday. Forgot since I'm competing at 198 I need to hit at least 1,550 in sleeves. Lol. So I'll have to make sure to eat my wheaties that morning. Could pull it off if I can hold onto my deadlifts and can keep my ass down on bench.

565 looks like a pretty light opener. If it wasn't for grip I would definitely go higher. But figured I might as well stick with a weight I could lift with the flu. Lol

3x3 paused bench @ 275
4x12 dual high cable rows

Bench moved good. All three reps moved basically the same. Left shoulder was a little tight starting out, but it loosened up without too much effort. Will probably find some girl on tinder this weekend to rub it really good for me.
