Thoughts on getting a coach?

Recently hit up my local Lifetime fitness club and inquired about their coaches... they are not cheap at $120 a session but they said I will get a tailored workout and nutrition programming just for me. Debating getting one, there are a couple trainers there that I actually really respect a lot in regards to what I see them do in the gym and how they look. Was wondering if anyone had successes with getting a coach? Thoughts?

A good coach will do more for your physique than just about anything aside from diet.

Definitely worth it. Just make sure that you shop around and get one that specializes in your goals.

Ok. A coach, yes. A trainer at a box gym? Uh…probably not.

A solid coach is worth their weight in gold. Most big box trainers are trash. Not all, but most.
For sure, most of the trainers there are fat or look like assholes or are weird. This one guy is shredded, 40 something, seems very informed through our short conversations we have had and has admireable character. Think I'll go through with him. I feel like it's going to be a great purhcase!

It's not a purchase, it's an investment!

Well, you can get these plans in like every gym.. Just a normal standard bullshit you can find on the internet, only with different numbers.

A "real" coach is more than "gimme ya money and shut up".
A coach offer you more than a training and nutrition plan (and they get you a serious one at least). He talks with you about your condition (body, mind, feelings), cares about problems next to bodybuilding and a coach is answering every stupid question you ask seriously.

If it's just a hobby and you don't want to compete or getting really huge, do what makes you happy and you have fun with it. But if things should get serious, take a real coach
