Zapcap-s CA membrane

Hello,

Zapcap-CR filters are currently out of stock.

I was wondering if I could use a ZapCap-S which is CA membrane? I’ll only be using BB and BA and Ofcourse MCT oil.

NO! Cellulose Acetate membranes will dissolve into your gear. Nylon, PTFE or PVDF only.

Thanks for the response.

Would CA membrane be fine to use with water based solutions? (Like carnitine) I know BA is listed as “LC” on the filter charts but would a small percentage of BA affect the filter?

sorry if my questions are stupid, fairly new to the process.

If you are filtering anything that has ba or bb in it then you need to use nylon, ptfe or pvdf filters.

Solvents will eat CA and PES filters so filter it properly or you'll fuck up your brew.
