There are many valid reasons. Me personally: everybody has stubborn fat on their.body. you can play around with your hormones if you like, try to get those stubborn sites to respond. Some will and some wont. Most competitive bbers know what im talking about and for this reason the last 4 weeks of prep are the worst.
You can suffer a month straight and, if you are a machine, you might be in shape onstage and you might not.
DNP unlocks your bodys fat stores universally. Nothing is held back. Even better, stored fat is the preferred source of fuel temporarily. Eat ice cream and still burn fat (faster actually but the carbs will heat you up and you will feel worse and have worse carb cravings. It becomes an endless cycle if reckless.) Doesnt matter if the fat is estrogenic or not. DNP is ruthless. Your body gives up all its fat. Period.
Lets analyze risk vs reward. Lets say DNP does cause some type of stress and could potentially hurt you even if you use it responsibly. What do you think you are doing those 12 weeks on prep? The last 4 weeks of insane dieting are easy on your system? Do you think you aren't putting mileage on your body?
Compare also i will lose as much or more fat in 12 days of DNP than 4 -6 weeks of hardcore dieting. That's a lot less stress if you think about it. Low dose DNP mind you.
The kicker is that fat burned on DNP doesn't come back. Or if it does it takes years and years for that to happen. Contrast this with the results of starvation only to have the fat come RIGHT BACK when you start eating again.
I am not saying rely on DNP and eat like a pig (although many do) I am saying in this game the winners have the right tools and know how and when to use them.

PS last run I shared the fun with my roomate at the time. He never worked out or anything. He was addicted to world.of warcraft.
Anyway he stuck to a much stricter diet than I did (fucking vanilla ice cream is the devil) and after the 12 day run i think day 20 we both had shed the water weight. He dropped 20lbs! His face his cheeks were trim his love handles gone. He got a new girlfriend and started hiking and shit. To this day he looks great. The chubby introvert I knew long gone.
