Homebrew question from newbie

Hey guys

I did my first brew of test c, went great but I had a reaction to the injections feeling extremely lethargic, headache permanently, and dizziness. Not test flu, this lasted 13 days. Jumped back on pharma test for TRT and feeling better.

I used 10g test c, 1cc BA, 6.75cc BB and filled to the 50ml mark with MCT oil. Thinking it’s one of those that I have a reaction to. I did UGL test once and had a reaction to the grape seed oil. So maybe it’s the MCT oil. Any thoughts on what it could be.

I’m new to this and not sure if my ingredients are correct.

My BA says it’s CP grade (harmful substance) C6H5CH2OH : 108:14

My MCT says pure MCT for Keto Energy

My BA I know is correct so I’m not sure if it’s the wrong ingredients but I know the process was perfect with the filtering and the bottling and all.

If it is the McT then the issue is here in South Africa we don’t have a lot of options in oil. I can get virgin olive oil. And this brings another question. Is regular grocery store MCT oil correct or is there a specific kind I need or grade.

Sorry for all the questions I just want to make sure all my ingredients are correct and that I have the correct understanding of the quality or grade of the ingredients needed.

Any help would be great guys thanks

I doubt it's the oil.

13 days to feel like shit doesn't make much sense.

You sure you didn't just happen to come down with a virus the same time.

If you can filter some more oil, mix it half and half with your brew and see what happens. I know you don't want to take a chance, but even the worst reactions to a homebrew and I've experienced this myself where you feel like shit for 48 hours, run down, lethargic, brain fog, but never 13 days, that suggest a virus.

Too much BB can make you feel off, it's hard to explain, but it makes you feel like your on Benadryl.

BA is toxic, but you have 2% so I wouldn't think that.

Oil choices always stick with a refined oil. Don't use extra virgin oils, you want that stuff refined so it doesn't go rancid as fast.

MCT oil is a highly refined oil, as long as you filtered it properly might cause localized swelling, but I can't imagine that it would cause you to feel ran down for 13 days.

Whenever someone has a reaction to something I'm prone to think it was the raw that caused the problem and not the oil unless they bolused themselves with a large amount in one shot which isn't wise. First dose of any new brew needs to be tiny, I would recommend 1 tenth of a CC until you know it's good, because you never know for certain what you're injecting unless you get it tested.

Thank you so much for the reply.

Don’t think it’s a virus, went to my doc and he said I look fine. BP and heart rate is good, no sweats or aches and pain.

No injection site swelling, pain or pip at all.

I am currently doing TRT at 125mg a week split into EOD shots with insulin syringe. So my doses are already really small.

A buddy of mine is also on TRT and I gave him some out of the same brew, 2 weeks now and he has no negative feedback.

So maybe it is something else. I got a prescription from my doc for Sustanon and started that yesterday and will run that till I feel better. You think it’s wise to wait till I’m normal again and then try this brew again to see if it happens again?

I really appreciate the help here

I've had to toss raws and brews before because something was off.

There are lots of viruses that cause us to get ran down for which there is no test or anything more than us feeling ran down because our immune system is working to eliminate the threat.

No localized swelling is a good thing, it means at least your brew isn't really toxic on any level at least to your tissues. That said sometimes welts can pop up 10+ days later after you inject that's why you keep a log of every injection to see if you've got a problem you can track down.

If your friend used the same brew and isn't reporting any problems I don't see a reason you couldn't try a tiny amount to see if it effects you.

Prescription T is good stuff, stick with it as long as you can. Many of us can't do that because like myself I have problems with high hct and no doctor is gonna allow me to go on requiring constant therapeutic phlebotomy. I used to be floated vials of prescription T-Cyp from my brother and it worked great, but I've been on UGL only for many years.

I think I will stick to a month or so of the prescription till I’m dialed in again on my TRT and then give this brew another show. I tested my raws with a roid test kit twice before I brewed and all looked good. My BA and BB I think are solid and so is the MCT I bought.

So if my friend is fine on it and I’m feeling off maybe it is something else I picked up. My only concern is now 14 days and I’m only now slowly getting better, that’s a long time to be sick

If u brewed over 200mg/ml can be systemic inflammation. Cyp is hard to hold sometimes.. also I don't know what mct "keto energy" is but u may want to make sure its pharmaceutical grade,, Its a deference between Pharma and OTC

Mct fucks me up pretty bad. Thats probably what it was. I havent heard of anyone having a issue with grape seed oil
What does MCT do to you. Localized or systemic problems?

I always recommend GSO because it's a polyunsaturated and that is easier for tissues to breakdown.

That said miglyol 840 was my absolute favorite brewing oil for sometime until my bottle outdated and I can't source the stuff anymore.

Do you know the half life of MCT? It’s like 31 days….

Obviously you have capillaries that will carry the mct into the blood stream and it will be burned off as energy from calories.

Injections at least from a modern approach should be small in volume to prevent local tissue damage. The days of shooting 3cc into your ass are long gone.

Both. Swelling and redness at site. Fevers. I found out enough irritation can trigger a immune response. Thats why this happens.

I don’t agree. It’s very common in a medical setting to give 2-5ml injections IM. My girlfriend is a RN and regularly gives injections in this volume amount. Tissue damage from an IM injection is caused by injecting too fast or poor injection technique
