What do NPP raws smell like?

They have a quite a sweet fragrance to them, mine do anyway an they're bang on

I agree with Jake90 that NPP has a sweet smell. To me it's almost like a berry flavored cheap Kool-Aid knock-off with artificial sweetener smell, or at least that's the best way I can describe it.

I don't think he is trolling, NPP raws have a very distinct smell, more so than any other raw I've ever handled.

Sorry to hijack here but it doesn't seem important enough to start a new thread.

Do NPP raws melt as easily as Deca raws do? I'd like to add some to my inventory and give NPP a try but if it melts at a very low temperature I would rather place the order during winter.

Nope! It’s 100F where I live and my NPP raws still arrived as a powder

Never had that problem with NPP. However 150g of Test E raws did not survive this summer heat. RIP

To add to the post I have gotten an odd batch of NPP in the past year that did not look nor smell like it's normal self.

Luckily I always bought Test Cyp from the UGL so when I started brewing a decade ago, I just stuck with what was working. Between the mystery PIP and melting raws I think I'll probably never bother with Test E.

I only order Deca in the winter but I have a multi-pack order with QSC I may ask them to add some NPP to. Were they by any chance the source of your odd NPP raws? What was the issue with it anyway?

I haven't tried Test Cyp because my sources until recently were IRL Gym bros and all he ever had was Test E. And my source back in the 90s and early 2000s had Sus250. I had some issues with Test E in the last couple years from every source and this past year I switched over to Test D homebrewed @400 and it's smooth as butter.

I don't like to publicly promote sources good or bad. But since you asked I received two different batches from QSC in the last 18 months and one was normal and the other was not.

My NPP raws from PPL didn't smell like anything at all.
