Hey Meso Members,

I’m new to this forum but interested in getting some help in achieving my bodybuilding goals. I’ve let myself get overweight over the last few years being a busy dad of 3 kids who are active in sports. I got back into bodybuilding 6 months ago with clean diet and lifting but now that I’m 40 not getting the gains and fat loss I need at all. Looking to keep adding lean mass while cutting fat.

Looking to do my first cycle and was looking at getting test-c, anavar to run 8-10 weeks then pct. Any thoughts or insights from you all is appreciated. Any feedback on this cycle for a beginner and any advice on getting in touch with quality sources found here are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

240 lbs, 5’9
Lift 5x week push/pull/legs, cardio 3x 35 mins
Diet: 2350 cals, 51f, 230g protein, 220g carbs
Little experience with anabolic, took a short cycle once of Eq and clens from my lifting partners source

Welcome. Test only for first cycle would be plenty, 500mg a week for 14 or so weeks. All the specific on AI and Pct can be found with a little searching here.

In regards to sources, go to the steroid underground section and look for domestics. Recommend starting at last page and reading forward, keep in mind posts are not censored or modified. Best you feel comfortable and make your own choice who to use instead of taking some dudes advice here. Your free to ask opinions of sources too, but after you do your own research into a few.

Thanks for the great advice, much appreciated. I think I’m going to stick with test only like you said since it’s my first cycle and see how I do.

After 6 months of hard dieting and program I mentioned above I wasn’t seeing the fat loss and muscle gains I would have expected, went to endocrinologist and found out I have low t: 197 and 247 when tested and free test of 6.4, estradiol at 29. So they now put me on 160mg per week of test.

I was thinking to follow same diet and program I had been but perhaps waiting a few more months to keep dropping fat then blast 350-400mg of test for 14 weeks, take 8 cruise on trt, then perhaps another blast at 400-500mg for another 10-14 weeks then cruise on trt and see where I am at and determine next steps in my journey.

Does the above sound like a good approach or any feedback or advice would be much appreciated thanks.

Sounds good to me. Only thing is after first blast, might want to take a little more time before next blast. Just cruise at a level that keeps you in the upper range. I'd just consider bloodwork before the 2nd blast to make sure everything looks good.

Awesome you got on doctor approved trt. Easy to find a domestic with recent testing to supply the blast testosterone.
 
Welcome my man. Like T&H said, stick with just test. You’ve only been back for 6 months so no need to get too crazy. You should see some significant progress with that dose of test.
 
Thanks for the help, I’ll stick to just test and give myself a longer break in between. Yes, I am glad I was able to get on trt as well. Based on how I was feeling and the lack of results I’d normally get I knew something was up. My physician ran my blood work months ago and didn’t care about free test and total was 280 at that time and he said just train and diet harder. Was quite frustrating, getting the next rounds of bloodwork and seeing it’s an issue at least made me feel like I wasn’t crazy and now I can hopefully get more out of the work I’m putting in.
 
Hey bro welcome to the group . Im also 41 years old and i have a lot of experience in this field and would like to give u some advice before jumping to steroids . The approach of losing fat is diffrent then the one we used to do when we were 20 . I would suggest u go and do a blood test first and see where is your cholesterol and triglycerides and test and everything else . I dunno where your fat % is but im guessing its more then 20% . What u want to do is lose that fat first so that your cholesterol goes down and then start using steroids . Were not 20 years old anymore we cant treat our body the same as we used too . Any steroids will cause more red blood cell which will increase your cholesterol . Also do a thyroid test and if your levels are low then start with t3 t4 medication and that will help u lose fat faster and after u get to less then 15% body fat then consider starting steroids . Be safe

Hey thanks for the reply and I appreciate the post. My LDL is 92, HDL 48, Triglycerides: 68, TSH 1.64, Hematocrit is 42. I’ve been in a caloric deficit of 600-900 calories for over 5 months and need a break. My macros and diet have been on point but I’d like to switch to muscle building for at least 8 weeks then maintenance for a little while to then hit a long cut again. My thought is mentally that would be a nice change and get my body with more calories and growing for a change and then cut with higher LBM to make the following cut even more effective. I’m training very well and seeing great strength gains and some recomp so wanted to see what training and intensity could lead to on a clean bulk. That was my strategy at least. @Cridi887 what are your thoughts?
 
If u want to use PED then u can do any training and u will see gains . My personal favorite is chest biceps one day back triceps next and legs shoulders and then repeat . Your diet should be very low in fat because PED'S will already provide your hormones with fat . Protein should be 25% higher because while on PED u can use more protein .
And if u want to do it naturally then diet and training will be different .
After u fhinish your cycle your training should change to full body workout and low intensity
