GUNS, GUNS, and more GUNS!!

FINALLY GOT THE FUCKNG APPROVAL TODAY FROM THE ATF FOR MY SILENCER CO HYBRID 46M!!! Only took 277days with e Form 4, going to go pick it up first thing in the morning when they open at 10am, I will be waiting outside the shop!

Mixed a good stiff drink and took a special candy bar, that should help me get to sleep and hopefully sleep past 5 am, you know routines and shit!!! Can't fucking wait, now just waiting on the 4x Form 1's I submitted at the end of February and another eForm 4, around the same time. I submitted for a Silencer Co Octane 45, will be awhile on that one but oh well got my first one out of jail finally, like a kid on Christmas night!!

Maybe I will post a pic when I pick it up in the morning.

I bought a Glock 19 and SW Shield Plus at the same time. The Glock trigger feels cheap and much harder than the Shield.

Truth is the Glock just sits as I prefer training with the SW. Is the Trigger a common part to upgrade or do I just need to get used to it?
The trigger and trigger bar are the first 2 things to go, every time I buy a Glock, unless its an aftermarket high end like Zev or POF

I want a suppressor so bad they are just pricey. Im thinking of doing a sbr build thats about as far as I’ve gotten on tax stamps.

I didi 4 form 1's cuz of this stupid brace law so the way I see it, now it through stocks on em and get rid of the braces. YHM makes a very good suppressor that for under $500 and sometimes run deals where you buy the can and get a free tax stamp. YHM is fucking solid product, I would have gotten there Resonator but they are sold out so I put in for the Octane 45 last month

Better apply for that now....the wait time Wisco got has been the norm for most the guys I know going through the process as of late.

I'm definitely a 2A guy, although I'm too poor to get the shit I want.

TBH, I'm currently trying to work on my cardio--I've taken up running, which I hate--and explosive strength so that I can start doing run-and-gun competitions in 2024. Being able to run, drag, push, and throw things well can make up for not being the best marksman.

Right now, my go-to pistol is a Canik TP9SFx. I carry concealed occasionally, but I really don't go sketchy places most of the time, and appendix carry just isn't comfortable for sitting. Or maybe that's because it's a full-sized gun? I'm currently trying to work out some persistent failure-to-cycle issues; I think that I might have undercharged the ammo. I'm trying with a max charge on Ramshot Silhouette right now (I think 6gr?), and I'm going to test that this weekend.
My wife has a S&W medium-framed .357; I don't recall which model.
I've got a Para-style 10mm 1911 that's sitting at the gunsmith right now; I'm getting the dustcover drilled and tapped for an optics mount. I'm planning on having a comp turned up for it--it's got .572x28 threading, and most really nice comps are 11/16x40--and then dropping the recoil spring weight down. Last major thing is going to be getting the sear and hammer stoned to get the pull down to 2.5#. My Canik has fairly good trigger weight, but something like 1/4" of creep (...but a very short reset); the 10mm has zero creep, but is in the 5-6# range on trigger pull.
My AR started as a S&W M&P 15 Sport II, and almost every part except the receivers and stock has been swapped out now. It's sub-MOA with the right ammo; I need to work on getting the jump just right on my hand loads. (I'm using Vihtavouri N135, and Berry's 55gr bullets; I need a chrono so I can do ladder tests. Yes, I know I should be using 62gr, but 55 was what I could get the last time I bought bullets.)
My 10/22 is just fun, and the version I've got is a tack driver. I'm getting everything in a single ragged hole the size of a dime at 50y.
I got an AR-10 in 6.5CM to go pig hunting, and then the person that said they'd take me quit. :( I'm still looking for someone that can teach me.
Then there's the Mosin-Nagant and a few other historical pieces.
My goal is to get into competitive shooting in general. Yeah, I'm gonna suck, but whatever. There's a steel challenge near me this Sunday; as long as my Canik is cycling well again, I think I'm gonna sign up for that one.

Ive got a magnum research Switchbolt, that is basically built like a 10/22 but its Magnum Researches version of it, and the fuckin thing is awesome, lightweight with carbon fiber wrapped barrel and you can switch the side you want to operate the bolt from. Its a pretty neat little plinker and way cheaper to shoot than most anything else I own!

Any got any extensive range time with a VP9? Only had one but I only put maybe 50 rounds through it before I sold it to my brother. Looking at another one

love me a long gun wife and I have been shooting PRS and NRL matches for the last 6 years it’s a blast! Also work with a gun builder doing all their load development on new builds. If you have Any questions about long range shooting or ballistics let me know!

recently sold 2 of them, had a bad addiction to buying guns (probably still do) but realized one day that having too many handguns was counterproductive if you can’t shoot them regularly and don’t get go familiar with them all.

I’m not a marksman, I don’t give a shit abt shooting 1” groupings or anything, I carry guns to protect myself, my family, and to kill if necessary. If I can hit a silhouette target dead center mass anywhere within about 15 yards or closer then that’s good enough.

So the 2 guns I sold were “compact” but still too large/uncomfortable to carry on the waist. After I sold those 2 guns I purchased a Stoeger STR-9 subcompact, inexpensive gun at $300 and just a knock around gun I don’t care abt wearing if I’m cutting the grass, on the boat, or out where I’m moving around and sweating.

One day I realized I had all these guns but I only gravitated towards a select few for carry. The Smith and Wesson 9mm shield is my carry gun about 90% of the time over the past few years. Sometimes I’ll carry my Kimber Aegis elite .45, but not into carrying a $1200 handgun if I’m sweating or worried about it getting potentially knocked around. I really like the 1911 platform myself and the Kimber compact 1911’s are fucking fantastic! However, I caution anyone not to carry until you’ve put at least 500 rounds through a 1911 because they all have a longer break in period. I still hadn’t shot the new Stoeger yet, if it’s anything like their shotguns it’ll be a reliable gun! And I think Stoeger is a subsidiary of Benelli if I’m not mistaken.

What you’re dealing with is a classic LE trigger with a tad more pull until the gun goes bang. This is intentional and made so there is that brief extra split second in case you don’t actually need to fire on someone. The issue is after shooting guns with crisper triggers like Canik and Kimber, I had an everloving bitch off a time getting used to the triggers on Glocks

Where do you live? I dont know one person who owns a gun….

I love shotguns!
My favorites:
Benelli M4
A short double barrel
Atchisson AA12
Franchi SPAS12

Also I'd love to own a Barrett M82 (M107) and a Desert Eagle just for collection.

But I live in Germany so this stays just a dream.

They may not tell you. Some people who live in democrat areas are very private about it. We live in red but my daughter has been conditioned since kindergarten to never talk about our guns. When we go to the doctor and they ask she always shoots me a grin. Walk your neighborhood on 4th of July you'll at least know who the dumbasses are.

I love guns and shooting. Used to compete in IPSC mostly, but am on pause right now, because of time related issues :D I still do dryfire every day and visit the range when i have the time to do so. I own a HK MR223 (civilian version of hk 416) and a Glock 45. Nothing fancy, all stock parts.
