So I lost about 40lbs of muscle while I was in the hospital and I kept hearing these popping sounds from my middle chest bone (sternum? idk) but It would crack or pop probably about 5-10 times a day when I would move.. Wtf could this be? also came off all gear and hgh was on absolutely nothing. Im thinking maybe my rip cage actually was getting smaller? Idk if anyone knows anything about this please let me know.

I get a crack in the centre of my chest when I sorta like stretch it out. Normal for me. Just started one day randomly. Usally happens when I’m sitting then stretch my arms up or chest out or something.

yeah it will happen when I reach my arms back or up. It stopped doing it now but for a good 4 weeks or so that would happen multiple times a day.

It’s probably nothing serious bro. Could have been the lack of movement you were doing while staying in hospital? At least it’s better now I still get cracks in my chest when I’m sitting or lying down for a long period of time

You were probably experiencing costochondritis which is inflammation of cartilage in the chest that connects the ribs to the breastbone,

I was in the hospital for 3 weeks first week was in icu I was sedated for most of it they had me on so much pain meds I couldn't stay awake they put a catheter in my dick cuz I wasn't even awake enough to piss and these two hot ass girls put it in so I wasn't complaining really. but after the hospital I had to a skilled nursing place where they had to give me antibiotics in a picc line for 4 weeks! So I lost a ton of weight but I noticed the chest shit going on when I started to wake up. I thought maybe it was my rib cage getting smaller or something cuz I was losing weight so rapidly and being on gh for the past 4 years straight I thought maybe my rib cage had grown? Idk but it stopped when I stopped losing weight.

40lbs of muscle is a lot to just lose in a month or two, I doubt it’s all muscle. So your profile pic was before the hospital I take it then.

As Jin23 said, it's probably costochondritis. Just be careful and try not to irritate it. Try to sleep on your back, and NOT on your side.

Is it causing pain? It can become painful and it can also can start to mimic the mysterious sensations of esophagus problems/reflux, heart attack, lung problems etc. It's a really annoying area to have a problem.

I find that sleeping on my side really irritates things.

How did it happen to you? Good question. If you were in the ICU and sedated, they placed you in an awkward position, and this is probably was caused it.
