Is that your personal experience when you have tested out very old brews. I can't smell through glass or plastic. And what little i smell smells like chemicals and solvents. . And it looks the same as the day it was made.

Well i have never had any rancid oil at my house. Reports are plant based oils are good for at least 2 years from my reading and i never have oil sitting around that long. And from my reading soapy smell, metallic etc can mean the oil has gone bad but then i do not keep oil around that long to have any personal experience.

You need to take some out and smell it using your nose
