Forgot to add BA

Forgot to add BA but I filtered and separated into vials. Some leaked out and I lost some to the filter so I’m not sure of the total volume. I am thinking I’ll draw everything out into a 50 ml syringe, check the volume l, add the 1% and heat. That should work correct? Mast P 100mg/ml

You could do that to be precise. But I would personally just eyeball it. If it's a full 10 ml vial, use 0.2 ml sterile BA. It will end up being somewhere between 1.4 and 2.0% BA in your vial.

I would stir it instead of heat. Your trying to mix, nothing needs to be dissolved

Ok, my total volume seemed a little off when I was filtering. I used a graduated cylinder instead of a syringe this time. Everything went into solution no problem. Worst case I have a little pip.

I forgot to add ba once. I just pinned it and nothing happened. 100ml no infections

I still use ba though. I would encourage all to

I would just add BA to the vial. 1-2% BA seems to be what pharmacies use so i don't get bent out of shape if i don't have exactly 2%.
