something happened which i was afraid was going to happen. I was filling a big 30ml vial and i was halfway when the filter broke and contaminated the vial. If the filter worked the other way when drawing into the syringe you could see when that happened before moving into the vial.

I'll have to push the oil into the back of a second syringe to verify the filter is intact, and then move it into the vial.

Did you warm the product? I always find it’s easier to filer and requires a lot less force filtering slightly warm. You were just using too much force

i can start doing that, but the fact is debris will continue to accumulate making it harder and harder to push. You would hope the thing would just clog completely before breaking. how many ml of oil before you should change usually?

100 ml of oil

If it’s getting too hard to push and you’re afraid it’s going to break then change it but warm oil makes a huge difference. I can’t even push cold oil through usually.
