What are your thoughts on gear availability moving forward?

I’m seeing places shutting down and staying out of stock on half their shit lately. Do you feel it’s due to new customs scanners and penalizing the exporters harshly?

What are your thoughts on domestic suppliers? My guess is availability will be scarce for awhile and prices are going to double in the near future. Interested to hear your thoughts, nobody wants to panic buy but the writing is on the wall here

Scarcity on non human consumption items: Probability Very High
Out of stock items on domestic sources: Probability: Medium

In case of increased custom seizures due to tighter controls/de minimis exemptions the increased prices and OOS items on domestic sources Probability goes to: Guaranteed for the foreseeable future

If things cool down, we will be back at business as usual in the next quarter

I’d think short term there will be chaos. High prices, shortages, etc.

Medium term, it’s likely that people will adopt new methods of conducting business and things will settle into a normal rhythm.

This is a time of global chaos, generally, so this isn’t exactly surprising.

I know that Leo aka kateliang went private and resurfaced somewhere between 2010-11 or so. Then I lost track of him, although I learned recently that his company is still operational

It's too late to stock up on raws. I am sure it will be fine though.
