Giant Semaglutide Thread (and other GLP-1 / GIP agonists)

Gonna do the second tirz injection tomorrow. Last sunday did the first at 2.5mg, from Sunday to Wednesday my digestion was definetly slowed, then it started to fade and since today (saturday) it was back to normal. No appetite suppression felt.
Would I be fine bumping to 5mg?
Also noticed more stable glucose levels, I still binged a bit and afterwards I felt fine, while usually after eating too much I get a bit hot and some stomach disconfrot. with tirz my abdomen was flat even after a big meal and felt more stable evergy levels (not a huge change but noticeble)

Yes it's fine if you've felt no effect for days on the starting dose.

Has anyone had NAFD and seen a drastic improvement using GLPs? Its running in my family and wonder if its worth it to go for Retra as its extremely expensive here in EU.

NAFLD? (aka MASLD)

All of the GLP-1s will help with this (Sema and Tirz too) but Reta is uniquely effective for treating it due to the addition of GCGRA. We’re talking fatty liver eliminated.

Also, it’s not particularly expensive. But you may be looking at very expensive vendors who are reselling products that you could buy much cheaper elsewhere.

get reta from a source on here. I'm also in eu and all glp1s and absurdly expensive, I got tirz from here and it's affordable. Reta is more expensive than tirz but also more effective so you probably need less most of the time

Tirz cleared mine completely.

It's very effective against NAFLD and far, far cheaper than Reta, along with easier availability including a pharma option.

Consider the long term, and that you can always switch to Reta if it becomes as cheap and plentiful What's most important is consistency of use. Will you be in a position to take Reta without interruption?

Good point. I looked for Pharma Tirz (Mounjaro) and its insanely expensive, i could get a prescription for it (private one) and 3x10mg pens cost me around 1k€.

Reta isn't even approved yet, and relative to Tirz is significantly more expensive.

Once you go on a GLP, the best course of action is to stay on indefinitely, so considering affordability and availability should be a factor. With QSC gone, cheap Reta isn't so common, but Tirz is.

Just calculate how much 15mg/wk Tirz would cost vs 12mg Reta, the max doses of each, for a year.

Thats worst case scenario, but it'll give you a sense of the relative difference.

Anyone experience lower libido on reta? I guess it kind of makes sense since it affects the dopamine system. Feels exactly the same as it does with food. I could but I don't need it.

Hello, I have a question about semaglutide. I have been taking it since May 2024. 0.25mg at the beginning. After 1 month I increased to 0.5mg, after 3 months to 1.5mg and after 6 months to 2mg. But since I increased to 2mg, I no longer have the same effect as at the beginning. So I increased to 2.5mg and nothing has changed. I still don't notice anything. As for my success, I have lost 12kg and have no side effects. Do you have any tips on how I can get an effect again? Maybe shorten the intervals?

DO NOT INCREASE FREQUENCY.

I assume you are not regaining weight, just not losing more.

You can safely increase to 3mg. UGL is somewhat less effective than pharma at the equivalent dose, 2.4mg would usually be the max, but we know it's safe up to 7.2mg.

It's normal to "plateau" and lose the feeling of appetite suppression after dropping weight to a certain point on a particular dose. This is how a "maintenance" dose is established.

After 3mg for four weeks you'd likely hit the maximum weight loss Sema can provide. Either stay at that dose to maintain that weight, or consider moving to Tirz, which can provide up to around another 10% of weight loss, on average.
