Sleep issues

tried half a trazodone for a time and it was garbage total zombie when woke up for hours.

if have nothing to do but sleep away a weekend and catch up on sleep maybe ok but not good for functioning IME.

likely works better for those clinically depressed??

Works great for me and I’m never depressed. It’s for Army’s go to when they don’t want to prescribe Ambien anymore.

Like every drug , there will be side effects. Your body will need time to adjust to this foreign drug. Give it 2 months and if the sides are still strong, assets and move forward.

What if you can't stay asleep? I have zero problems ever falling asleep unless I take caffeine within 6-8 hours of bedtime and that's on me. But I wake every hour or two to pee. I think I just drink too much water and have a small bladder but I suppose it could be something else. I fall back asleep as soon as I finish peeing but I haven't slept 3+ hours straight in years

Get Megatas (MIRABEGRON) from PCT Zone. It helps with Nocturia.

ya dr said give it time but it was far to horrible to endure for longer than couple weeks and got worse if anything.. prefer no sleep lol...

I got lucky with both, cant fall asleep and often wake up in 2 hrs refreshed lol.

I think blood sugar really plays a huge part that drs dont talk about. along with hydration. 5 hrs before bed you should fast I found helps alot of the time.

Thanks. Ill take a look. I just got a message from them on proM saying they're having a 30% off sale so might be the perfect time

Edit: actually it looks like my insurance covers it so I may just ask my doc next time about it

It could be BPH. Have you been checked?

1mg Fin/day reduces prostate 25-30%
pretty fast and may resolve it (for a while at least).

Daily Cialis is also effective.

Flomax is another commonly prescribed drug, often in combination with the others.

Cialis is something you could try on your own for some relief....

Im already prescribed daily Cialis and I did fin until I switched to duta. I don't*think* it's bph because I can feel that when I bump my test or masteron up for the first day or two but I could be wrong. No issues urinating anyway. Do y'all drink water all the way up until you go to bed like I do it do you after cutting back at a certain time? Just curious because I think it was huberman that I heard say to stop drinking after 4pm but I don't think I could handle that. I love my water

I drink around 100 ounces a day. Sometimes more. But I slow down and drink very little after 5. I still pee twice a night. On cycle and off.

Had the same experience with trazodone (I think I took 100-150 mg before bed). It took me more than 2 hours to fall asleep and I woke up a couple times because of nightmares (they are extremely rare for me) but fell back asleep after laying there covered in a layer of sweat being like "what the fuck did I just witness". The nightmares were not super disturbing just really uncomfortable.

When I finally woke up in the morning I was completely dumbfounded when checking the Apple Watch sleep data, this was the most unrestful sleep I have ever gotten in my life. Felt zombified for the rest of the day.

N=1 but I won't be trying it ever again. Not for me.

i used to stop drinking water earlier but at some point i said what's the point if I'm going to have to wake up to piss anyways. So i started drinking water right up until bed. I keep a bottle of water bedside when i wake up I piss once then drink more water and go back to sleep..
Strangely i found before when I was cutting back my nightly water consumption i was waking up more often with the urge to urinate even though barely releasing any each time.

Nocturia is what mirabegron is indicated for, but it's hit or miss. The studies aren't great - doesn't work for some, reduces for some, doesn't completely resolve nocturia for anyone.

By all means try it but manage expectations. Hopefully this doesn't hinder any potential placebo effects.

Same experience... Drink a lot of water consistently throughout the day = peeing 1-3x per night. Drink only during the first half of the day = same. Force myself to drink as little water as possible = same.

It's also generally just uncomfortable for me to restrict water before bed laying there thinking about a cold glass of water.

At the end of the day.. if you're peeing in the middle of the night often the problem is either (as far as I know):

* Bad sleep architecture (e.g. lots of wakeups caused by sleep apnea or drugs that alter your sleep architecture such as trazodone)
* BPH lower urinary tract symptoms (more on this below)

A normal healthy lower urinary tract and night of sleep simply don't involve waking up at the middle of the night constantly. Something is up. The body is supposed to put that system into a "low power mode" so that you don't wake up to pee.

If you're on daily Cialis (>= 5mg/day) and have been for a month or more you could either be a nonresponder when it comes to the urinary symptoms of BPH or it could be that you just need to stay the course...

"Conclusions: Tadalafil 5 mg once daily led to clinically meaningful improvement in approximately two-thirds of men with lower urinary tract symptoms secondary to benign prostatic hyperplasia. More than half of this group of tadalafil treated responders achieved clinically meaningful improvement after 1 week of therapy and more than 70% did so within 4 weeks."

Hello guys lately I been struggling to fall asleep
And that’s taking a lot of sleep supplements such as magnesium and melatonin I try up the dose don’t seem to help but give me brain fog the next morning any suggestions or sleep aid you guys recommend
Do you have much stress or does your mind run alot?

I never got good sleep until just recently and I could never figure out why, I would go to bed at 8pm super early, wake up multiple times a night and never get good enough sleep to feel good the next day.
Just recently I took a vacation, and noticed I was sleeping straight through the night and also noticed my mind wasn’t running daily or stressed out.
Once I was at peace, my sleep improved.

I also read the studies. It helps about 40% of people who take it. There are a few similar drugs but that’s the only one PCT Zone has.

You guys will do anything other than basic sleep hygiene! (or lie that you've tried it a million times, cuz that's not how it works)

Use ChatGPT to get an explainer on cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-i).

It's not just for insomnia, but for many things related to sleep quality.

You're gonna spend so much time training and focusing on diet. Sleep is part of the lifestyle too.
