Telmisartan

@BamaCrazy @BP_6 Thanks for the feedback! Much appreciated. I asked my coach the same thing. My BP is already normal to low, why am I supposed to take this?
This is his response “it is a blood pressure med, but that is not why we use it, it doesn’t do a great job lowering and managing blood pressure to that degree.we use it because it doesn’t a wonderful job preventing cardiac remodeling. We get other health benefits from it like preventing left ventricle hypertrophy and kidney and brain health, not really for BP.”

I am reluctant to take it. Idk. What do you all think of that response?
Telmisartan is one of the most effective ARBs for lowering systolic and diastolic blood pressure. It has a 24 hour half life and provides around the clock coverage. As far as ARBs go its effectiveness in lowering BP only comes 2nd to Azilsartan. It does improve myocardial remodeling so he’s not wrong about that. And it does have kidney protection benefits but so do a lot of BP meds.

I’m not sure why he’d say that.

Gotcha, thanks for the info! He as me running 200 test c, 200 mast e, 100 primo e. I am coming up on week 3/4 of running this then getting bloods.
He also suggested 3iu of GH before bed, 20mg telemisartan, and 50mg metformin but I didn’t have those and not sure I want to try them. Maybe the GH I will add, but funds are kinda tight right now.
My BP first thing in the morning for the last 6 days has been
106/79, 117/77, 128/69, 106/66, 113/81, 110/70.
I don’t see why I should take it and end up dizzy from low BP. I think I will just stick with the test/mast/primo.

Just my .02 but I would not start Telmi with those beautiful BPs.

@AdamAnt250 thanks! I agree and think that seems to be the consensus from most, except my coach .
Any one in this thread have an opinion on if I should take the metformin? Is it worth using/having going into a gaining phase?

Your coach might be thinking the telmisartan and metformin will offset the insulin resistance the HGH will build up. If so, I'd recommend a low dose tirzepatide or retatrutide instead.

Unless there’s something we don’t know about your labs taking Metformin on 3iu of GH seems premature. I doubt it would hurt anything. That’s a very low dose. I’m just not sure it’s necessary yet.

Edit: Did you mean to type 500mg Metformin. I think that’s the lowest dose it comes in.

I've seen metformin 250mg before, but you're right that 50mg seems inordinately low. Good catch!

Yes, meant 500, my bad. And no, nothing in my labs. The only thing out of range was my ldl, it was 110 mg/dl

Find a new coach putting you on those drugs when unneeded is stupid. If you need Telm. Thats a great choice but ya BP is amazing I wouldnt do it until its needed bro!
