No.

For me sides were intolerable on .5mg Fin, in theory a much weaker 5-AR inhibitor. It may be due to a different mechanism of action.

I think I'd rather just be bald because what's the point in living like this if you don't feel like a man?

I’ve had a shit hairline since I hit my teens and my head grew but my hairline didn’t move with my head.

No male pattern baldness, but I may as well have had it with the fucking FIVEHEAD I’ve got.

I used to have a skinhead for a few years, and I was never particularly happy with it as I’ve got a funny shaped head to boot. Now I have longer hair to cover my shit hairline. I’ve also dealt ED for many years

So having been bald and dickless, and now haired and dicked, I can say hands down that dick > hair.

I’m 31 and running DHT derivatives. No 5ARis. Based on the hair of my maternal grandfather, my father, and my maternal grandmother’s family I’d say there’s a 33% chance I’m gonna go totally bald, a 33% chance I’ll diffusely thin, and a 33% chance I’ll not lose hair at all. I’m gonna wait a few more years to see if I lose hair.

If I’m not losing hair, I’m getting a hair transplant. If I am losing hair, then so be it I’m going back to a skinhead, and maybe I’ll get a hair transplant if/when my hair loss plateaus.

Won’t catch me using any anti-androgens. I’ve run the ED gamut for years, and I’m not doing it again.

This isn’t to scare anyone off, of course. Do what you want. But from someone who’s experienced baldness and prolonged ED, bald is preferable.

I'm on 1mg a day Dut, honestly don't see much sides.
There's also the difference in absorption between tablets and gelcaps. I'm using tablets now which has supposedly lower absorption. Planning to switch in future.

Since dut is lipophilic, the gelcaps contain a vegetable oil to enhance absorption. A similar effect can be replicated by taking the solid taps with food that contains some fat, fyi.

Would not make much sense.
Duta is significantly stronger than fin and already requires much higher than prescribed doses.
You would need to take a..crap load more fin for scalp DHT reduction.
And for people on AAS, probably even more.

I'm going to give the topical a try, and if the libido does not get better I'll just suck it up and ditch the hair. Just like you I do not think I will look good bald, and I get compliments for my hair from women so it will be difficult. I think I'm in the acceptance phase of this now after some emotional termoil, it is what it is.

Would rather be bald and be able to fuck than have nice hair and be limp dick. What's the point in that?

I was looking into dut for prevention, but seeing the libido sides, I'll just start saving for a hair transplant.

I still have a good hair tho, I'm in my 20s, so I should have ten years to save some money. It'll be money well invested, I love my hair.

I have been just in case. But what I've been wondering is if the hair transplant is a permanent fix. Won't the hair follicles that are transplanted be attacked by DHT too and miniturize the same way? Or do body hair follicles lack the receptors that scalp follicles have?

Correct. No respectable hair surgeon will operate without you being on a 5-AR inhibitor most men end up with at some point anyway, since the prostate never stops growing and eventually cuts off urine flow without intervention of a 5-AR.

It's ironic that had a low enough non-side effect inducing dose been found earlier, a hair transplant wouldn't have been needed.

We manipulate every damn hormone from T to E2, to injecting artificial androgens that don't exist in nature. Mess up any of them and you risk temporary ED, loss of libido, etc, and have to adjust something in case a problem arises. But controlling DHT, knowing you just have to avoid crashing it so you don't suffer sides, is some special case that terrifies some to the point they lose all sense of reason.
