What's going on with primo?

Hey everyone I noticed everyone is for the most part sold out of primo. Is this because the raws for primo are hard to come by or too expensive for people sources to make? I'm just curious?

The problem is three years goes by quick, and this current circumstance could last longer than that. It's too bad oil based injectables have a relatively short lifespan as I'd be willing to buy myself a lifetime supply, if only it would keep that long.

Are there any tips on perfect storage conditions, best carrier oils, etc... We can use to make our personal stashes last as long as possible?

What? Properly brewed oils last a long time...

Do you really think the "expiration date" on a vial of UGL means anything?

Where did I say that I thought expiration dates meant anything? Also, a "long time" is a subjective term. I'm talking about the very upper limits of storage and use. If I put away 10 years of supply, I don't think most, or any, oils would last that long. Carrier oils eventually go rancid.

The Test and Primo I used today was bought over 3 years ago, don't know how long before that it was brewed. It'll be close to 5 years old by the time I use it up.

Unless you're shooting grams of gear weekly it's very easy to get a decent supply that will last years.

That said I didn't buy questionable Chinese gear and I don't leave it in a gym bag in a hot vehicle. YMMV depending on the supplier and your storage conditions. I also practice FIFO too.

Another member posted a vial that looks like it has mold growing inside it so always consider the quality of your source for your stash.

5 years for quality definitely seems well within reason. I just wish it was possible to go significantly beyond that time frame. I have a bit of a prepper mindset with things, and if I can afford to stockpile things that may be more difficult or expensive to get in the future, I'll typically get a very large amount of that thing. Definitely worked in my favor over the past few decades with things like ammunition and long shelf like foods.

Over 90% of what I have is from Opti or Stan, so the quality is there. I keep everything stored in hard cases with 3D printed vial trays in a heated and cooled room that stays between 61 and 68 Fahrenheit all year.

Edit: I wonder if EMF can negatively impact gear...

Well hello fellow ammo hoarder :D I stash all mine in job boxes I've bought for cheap after outages over the years. Makes it way easier to store and I just move them with the forks on the tractor since I stack them 4 high.

I do want to leave a vial of each compound I have and just let them sit to see what happens and just visual them every year then maybe test them and see how they have held up.

As far as EMF I think you'll be good!

so real, if I had a nickel for every time i saw a chem/pharm student start flexing bands and Porsches on IG/Snapchat and go to prison not too long after for some shenanigans regarding manufacturing I would be able to afford to run Increlex every day of the damn week.
I like the crappy netflix series allegory, because the way they edit their stupid little videos really resembles those.

I came across this patent filed in 2011 for a simplified primo synthesis. However I'm not a chemist and only understand this stuff at the meathead level.

Considering how tightly this seems tied to global geopolitics and trade, anyone who has the ability and information to make that sort of prediction is probably too busy making similar predictions in the stock, forex, and commodities markets so they can make boatloads of money to bother with talking to us about it on gear forums.

Trump and Xi seems they got to agreement on taxes and maybe the situation will calm down now that they stopped to measure who has a bigger dick.
If that was the issue that caused this problem in the market.
But depends who you ask will give you a different answer when situation will improve. Don't know who has some clear information on the actual situation there

I'm not quite on that level, but I did put away 5K rounds of 50bmg, mostly API, about 6 years ago, which is probably one of my most prized stashes.

I really like the idea of doing an experiment with each compound to see how long it stays good. Only problem I see is that I'm not sure that it will necessarily be visually discernable when it is no longer safe to use, and piercing the vial to check at any point will effectively end the experiment. I wonder if there's a way around this other than multiple vials being checked at, say, 8 years, 10 years, etc... But that's quite a waste.
