Bro, we all make mistakes sometimes. Especially if we are new to ordering. You have to understand to veterans that your question sounded especially ridiculous and you probably are going to get some flacking from it.

Most just apologize explaining they didn't know, take the lumps and everyone moves on. However since you decided to hit back, now it is worse and can even make sources if they figure out who you are not want your business.

Kind of reminds me of this older gentleman who would always come to the grocery store where I worked when I was a teen bagging groceries.
