My first pack took 9 weeks, I don't recall how long was it at customs for.
I also have a pack that's at like week 6 now, stuck at customs inspection.
It's completely random, my third pack came in ~2-3weeks.

Reassuring to hear the 9-week one landed eventually. Did you reach out to them about the one that's been stuck in customs inspection for 6 weeks? Haven't had one stuck that long that they didn't keep, lol.
I was going to give it another week or so before reaching out about my order. Not worried tho, they've been great, just gotta be patient.

The china sources Ive dealt with will usually give both.
but as stated, the number actually works with the originating shipper as well. so i in fact can see the journey from the mainland

Semi-finished oils means that the oil still needs to be filtered; 'semi' is not sterile.
You need sterile equipment. The easiest way is to use 0.22 μm syringe filters and sterile vial

PPL says they are filtered and sterile already, but you can filter them again. I know I definitely would refilter any oils I am buying, regardless of supplier.

Yes, he says it’s sterile, but I don't think so. Last time, someone showed me a 0.22 μm filter after filtering PPL semi-finished oil — the deposits on the filter clearly indicated that the oil hadn’t been properly filtered. Obviously, to avoid any risk, all the semi-finished product was re-filtered to sterilize it.

can fill some 10 ml vials, inject it, and let us know whether it was sterile or not

All oils should be filtered regardless of where you bought it from (US Dom/China/Turkey, whatever).
PPL sells a product called semi-finished oil which are 100ml of filtered oils placed in bottles, which you then have to transfer to vials on your own.

liquids might cost more. just buy BB& BA at your local chemistry supplier, it is like 20 bucks a liter. no shipping cost.
