Well, I am taking it mostly for kidneys, but if it can help the heart too, that is a big plus. Like most long term aas users, my heart is enlarged. Albeit the cardiologist says on the high end of normal/low end of enlarged.I’ve been on the fence with Jardiance until recently. AAS use is associated with increased left ventricular wall thickness and worsening of systolic and diastolic parameters. A recent study indicates Jardiance can reverse left ventricular hypertrophy and stop the progression. My thinking now is it might help prevent heart damage before it starts. Back in 2020 ECG results showed I have slight thickening of the posterior LV wall. The cause was uncontrolled high BP which has since been resolved. Maybe Jardiance, beta blockers and Carnitine together can reverse that or at a minimum prevent further thickening.
