Just started GH

I started 2 IUs of GH yesterday. I pinned fasted and then did some cardio. Yesterday I felt pretty crappy and today I feel even worse. I think it has to do with my blood glucose level this morning when I checked it it was at 60. I’m also in a calorie deficit I don’t know if that has something to do with it. Also had a very hard time sleeping last night. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is my first time posting on here.

Low fasting blood glucose is not a GH symptom.

What other compounds are you using?

Is the calorie deficit new?

I’m on 500 test and 50 anavar. I’ve been on the test for two months and the anavar for two weeks. The only new thing I added was the GH. I’ve dealt with feeling like I have low blood sugar before like on a long day at work. It feels like the GH definitely intensified it and I crashed.

OK, my bad. Can I post the same question in the GH form?

I'm not saying it’s placebo, but it probably is. At 2iu you are roughly replacing your natural production, so it's unlikely to have a dramatic effect this early (though I could be wrong). I'd say give it a few more days and try not to overanalyze it for now.

Yeah, I’m gonna try not to overthink it. Tomorrow I’ll probably just have a little something to eat before the injection and cardio. See if that helps.

2iu (a small amount) of a compound that increases blood sugar certainly will not lower blood sugar until it gets to a place where people become hypoglycemic.

What would eating before cardio and gh do, if gh is not what decreases BG and is known to increase it?

Kick glucose back up a little.

I'd be concerned about liver issues tbh. Morning hypoglycemia can indicate the liver isn't able to manage the usual glycogenesis that should be taking place.

Could also be adrenal insufficiency or hypothyroidism unmasked by GH. Funny thing is someone with genuinely GH insufficiency would have similar symptoms when starting adult GH replacement therapy too.

Do you have any suggestions moving forward?

Do you routinely check blood glucose? 60 is definately hypoglycemia if your reading is correct.

If it is correct, and it were me, I'd get bloodwork with:

CMP (Comprehensive Metabolic Panel)
TSH and Free T4
IGF-1
Cortisol

You want these taken as close to the time you saw 60 as possible. An hour or so later is fine. No later than 8 (for cortisol). Take the tests fasted.

That will cover nearly every possible cause. Liver, Kidney, Adrenal Gland, Pituitary, Pancreas. You can order with ultalabtests (use 20% coupon they offer), or
maybe someone knows a cheaper source for these tests, but they're not hugely expensive.

It’s the first time I’ve checked it. I got the glucose monitor to make sure I wasn’t too high when taking the GH turns out I’m way too low lol. I didn’t eat a lot the night before and like I said I had bad sleep didn’t check it till 10 AM fasted. I’m gonna check it again tomorrow. I can sometimes go a little hypo if I haven’t eaten.

Thank you for the info on the bloodwork. I’m definitely gonna go through with that.

Wake up, fasted cardio

In a calorie deficit

Poor sleep

1) How much of a calorie deficit?

2) poor sleep makes everything worse: mood & feelz, appetite & desire to exercise, nutrient partitioning
I’m eating about 2200 cal I think my maintenance is around 3000. So pretty significant. I get really thrown out of whack when my sleep is off. Since it’s only day two I’m considering just stopping getting blood work and upping my calories and getting back on when I’m more locked in

Quick and dirty rule of thumb: if you're calorie deficit is fucking up sleep quality, it's too deep a deficit and will work against your body composition goals

Thanks for sharing your journey. Few questions from my side. Are you on any GLP medications? Are you on any other meds? Can you share them?

I’m just taking test and anavr. Not on Any other medications. This morning I checked it again and I was at 84. Feeling Good now and will start the GH again. I think it was a combination of poor sleep and under eating that got me so low. Will give a update wen I hop back on
