HGH for disc herniation

I've got mild disc herniation at L4/L5/S1 joints, have had for the last 6 years. Mostly manageable but every now and then it'll rear up again and cause absolute agony due to nerve impingement and muscle spasm. I'm going to try running HGH, BPC157 and TB500.

Will be doing a 12 - 16 week cycle of HGH initially at 2iu per day but after reading other experiences on here I'm wondering if the dose is too low?

I cannot say hgh has done alot for sure and ive been on a fat bodybuilding dose for a year now. This is long im just trying to be transparent tho.

Tb-500, Bpc-157 and Ghk-Cu/ GLOW i ran max dose 2x daily while targeting recovery work on decompressing and strengthening my locations on my spine. Alot of traction table and dead hanging, collagen and I also had AAS drugs in play.

I have had injuries heal that couldn't otherwise. They helped tremendously with further recovery years later in lower spine where I have a cage and rods and my upper back at base of shoulder blades was/ is next. The upper back spot is significantly more manageable im no longer at the point surgery is on the horizon. DONT GET ME WRONG it hurts still its there still im one dumb choice from being back at 0.

I now use the Klow/ Glow with KPV essentially as needed and it helps insainly with inflimation pains and rapid healing in conjuction with hgh. Ran it Full time when trying to leverage real healing (no KPV). Again I had 4iu minimum HGH and AAS drugs in play. But the changing factor was the peptides and doing the physical therapy work. I have mostly good days at this point and can function like im years younger and have the best physique in my adult life yet.

I am also doing the physical work every day still but I did initially built up to 500mcg 2x daily of tb and bpc with ghk-cu mixed in, and no less then 4iu hgh and along with diet and exercise. Then mostly just TRT when in a healing phase, I did do injections near the target but can only say for certain it made a difference once when I partially tore a hammy tendon. Otherwise just where the Ghk-Cu dosnt hurt. HGH ranged from 4iu to 8iu, TRT & some during a blast also.

3 weeks ago I partially tore my hammy tendons im back in the gym already and was relatively pain free 5 days later and was almost bruise or swelling free within 14 days. Hgh 8iu, with KLOW ( with KPV).

Really appreciate the long reply, especially from someone who knows what it's like dealing with pain and all the associated issues from an injury!

I've been reading up on GHK-CU so have ordered some to add to my stack. I don't expect I'll ever fully 'heal' my disc but if I can reduce the pain, increase my mobility and return to exercise I'll be happy.

Currently running HGH @ 2iu daily, BPC147 max dose daily, TB500 max dose twice per week as close to the injury as possible.

I am dosing hormones for perimenopause (Estradiol, progesterone, testosterone) so no plans to do high dose testosterone unless my bloodwork indicates it BUT am hoping they contribute to the healing process.

Hope you continue your good progress and things only get better for you!

Same to you hopefully its only up or atleast neutral from here! I would imagine having your hormones dialed is only adding synergy.

I didn't think much the the Ghk-Cu until I found out I had a bunch of genetic issues to supplement and work around also. Luckily I had a dna report from one of the family history websites. Paid to have it run through a program and learned so so much. Made getting and staying healthy far far easier and took my pain levels down even further.
Just my methylation issues caused alot of problems.

If its a possibility, I couldn't recommend enough doing a DNA report. Id have to look around to name the places i used appropriately. But it was whst Kickstarted the last little bit of change needed to push my life into a far more positive day environment. Like I only know it now looking backward tho.

I hope the best for you, If you try anything new that works bring it here I wanna know lol. I have some new stuff on the way myself

how did you verify it was a "partial tear" , or are you guessing because of bruising etc, maybe just a serious strain and not a tear? Curious,,

dont use hgh if you are a woman without bloodwok because it may give you slight acromegaly and will change your looks over time, also probably not needed.
what you should look into is ARA 290, i started a few days ago, no effects yet but im also not using bpc or tb500

I have herniated and bulging discs, 50 yrs old and I squat 405x8 still. The biggest help for me was actually learning more about my spine.

My doc recommended a book called Treat Your Own Back (not an affiliate link btw)

This was a game changer for me. The biggest takeaways were to maintain lordosis (the proper curavture) of your spine as much as possible throughout the day. Using lumbar support whenever possible (car, desk). Correcting my posture throughout the day, doing back extensions at the gym.

I still rarely get a little pain here and there, but it is very manageable.

Treatment for me in terms of med I think actually help are bpc 157, meloxicam and zanaflex if I do happen to tweak it.

Funnily enough I do actually have a DNA report that was so insightful - one of the things mine said was I have a high need for vitamin e in my diet and also have the mthfr gene so it's changed the way I look at supplements too.

A couple of people have recommended ara290 so I will look into adding that in down the line, i believe it helps with nerve pain!

Please post your journey as you go along if you feel up to it? I can't find a great deal of people sharing their experiences and am always grateful when I come across them!

100% my posture has a lot to contribute to it - I have herniations at C5/6/7 and L4/5/S1 and went through a number of years with physio, steroid injections and painkillers. I worked a desk job for too long without proper ergonomic support and I think that's been the biggest contributor (plus age).

I ended up becoming a yoga teacher because of everything I learnt as regular yoga really helped, but the past year it's been sporadic as I own a farm and we've been doing a lot of physically intense stuff and I've been lax, hence the reinjury!

I will go and check out that book, really appreciate than recommendations

I'm glad to hear that you can still do weighted squats - gives me hope!

I 100% need to do a real post/ write up on my journey and how ive gotten where I am now.

I spend so much time reading and educating myself, I need to give back to the information/ expirences ecosystem. I will follow you, hopfully you find some relief as well.

Nerve pain is the next target of mine once I get through expirimenting with my current stuff. IF I could find something to manage the nerve issues selectively it would be AMAZING!!!

To be fair its just what the Dr's told me after the ultrasounds but he did no imaging. The deep dark bloody bruise colors rapidly appearing & swelling he was shocked It wasnt torn and I was upright walking.

It is still swollen at the back of my knee/ hammy area and bothered me last night after the first upper body day back. The tendons still feel tweaked in my mid hammy down to knee, like I get no real pain but just a tightness.

Acromegaly generally takes excessive abuse and a significant amount of time to develope. But I 100% agree if your doing anything or not you should be doing your bloodwork at minimum!

Let us know how ARA 290 treats you, yall are getting me really interested in testing it much sooner now.

NOT ENOUGH PPL do the work, I was one of those people in the beginning. Back when pain meds were more obtainable as well... So much easier to take this or that then it is to retrain your body to function appropriately at the foundation.

Physical therapy after my first surgery was seriously eye opening. I was so stupid young and nieve!! Thankfully I received a wonderful therapist who cared deeply and taught me enough to open the door for continued education.

MORE POWER 2 YOU! I hope in another 15 years I can lift near that weight still.

Herniated discs can stabilize but they never heal.

If they're making your life miserable after a year or more seriously consider a disc replacement. It's nothing like spine fusion surgery, a quick procedure with fast recovery and you retain full function because they keep your spine geometry intact, functioning like a natural disc. I had two replacements put in when they were still performing FDA trials and they've been amazing. After two post surgery appointments the surgeon said I was set for life and no need for further follow ups. It's like I never blew out the discs. No functional limitations at all. I pity the folks still getting old fashioned spine surgery when replacement is an option.

Minimally invasive, no hardware screwed into your spine. They literally pull the wrecked disc out and slip in a replacement. 2 discs took 40 minutes, walked out of the hospital same day. If you wait too long vertebrae get damaged and replacement is no longer an option.

Very interesting, I wish it was an option when it mattered the most. Thank you, as always for the info @Ghoul. It's awesome you had such a good experience / result from it.

There are options now and they are so so much better. When I had to do mine I was early to getting it done with a neurosurgeon and robot. They did a bunch of imaging, I drank or got injected with dies for some of it. "Right l5-s1 transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion with bilateral posterior instrumentation and posterolateral fusion l4-s2" is what I concented to on paper. They spent extra time from my drugged induced state i recall "picking old bone fragments out and cleaning up damaged tissues" and cut a window into my upper spine and did the same treatment. They spent an extra 6 hours in the operating room with me. I cannot remember how long total but my mom thought the worst it was terrible for her. I was in my early 20s still.

Long shitty after care story part short I was supposed to be walking within 24 hours and sent home, it took 48hrs and better aftercare support.

But the surgeon im only grateful for her! At the time my alternative was a line of sight surgery done by a pain clinic more or less, with no real chance or expectation of improving long term. Just "maintaining a manageable level of pain" was being lucky by the standard then.

I nearly ended up getting a 2 level fusion with debilitating loss of range of motion. and likely requiring more surgery every few years as spine geometry after fusion would put pressure on other discs. A nightmare.

Two top spine surgeons told me that was the only option.

Luckily I found the researchers doing clinical trials on two level disc replacement and they agreed to do the procedure on me .

Man that echos in my brain and heart bro. I had given up literally I knew it was my last injury It couldn't be better now. My mom found that surgeon only one in the state at the time doing it. She accepted my insurance made me a special appointment at an alternative location to meet me closer to home. She gave me my life back in the end
