Blood work in Ny

I've always used marek for my blood work. Since they updated the site it no longer allows me to purchase anything. Their FAQ states they are working for a solution.

Question being, is there any place that I can order blood work from that allows me to order from Ny?

Just use a VPN and you can purchase them and put whatever, can reach out to support as well for most places and they will allow the purchase to go through.

I do not use them much anymore unless I decide I needs labs TODAY but I'm still able to use AlgoRX, Marek, and Fitomics. Fitomics being the cheapest by far if you get bloodwork with any regularity as it is $30/month to join.

Fitomics is sometimes even cheaper than wholesale out of pocket discounted through my doctor.

I didn't know fitomics worked for ny either. I'll probably try if they really are that much cheaper than marek.

The first time I ordered they pinged me saying you can't get bloodwork in NY, and I just let them know I drive to get the bloodwork out of state and they said all good and have let me order without issue since.

Should have called that out, this will let you order the bloodwork in NY but the labs themselves are still getting stricter and stricter in NY about actually letting you get them drawn there. I drive out of state every time which luckily is not too much trouble for me (still a couple hours) and I travel quite a bit, but if you're far from a border it is obviously a huge pain.

Totally fine. Can also usually just tell them you’re going to get the blood drawn in CT with any of the providers and they’ll allow it.

I use my NY address and just state to support I’m going to CT for any of the providers, haven’t used PrivateMD but not sure why they’d be any different.

Im confused what u mean? NY residents cannot use privatemd or any of the other cheaper services that us quest or labcorp. You use an NY addresss? Who do you do bloods thru? And what are you paying approximately

It's a NY law.
Every state has different laws.

I completely understand that. But he mentioned he used an NY address, which doesnt make sense bc of the law in NY, privatemd and others do not allow ny residents to use them. Which is why i was curious about just putting a CT address when purchasing thru privatemd

Not sure how else I can explain this but apologies if I’m not being clear. I use a NY address and am very well aware that generally they “don’t allow it”. They don’t allow it because they have customers get pissed when they go to labcorp/quest and get turned away, not because they can’t create the requisition.

I have used Marek, Algo, Fitomics, and my own out of state doctor with a NY address, I just have had to reach out to their support and let them know that I understand I can’t go anywhere in NY and will be going to CT to draw my blood.

I use marekhealth lab builder. Just cherry pick your test and you’re gtg. Change your address to a PA or CT address and go to any local Labcorp to your real address. When you book your labcorp appointment use your real address. I literally did it last week and no issues whatsoever. Use code j3u for 10% off

Don’t know why anyone is traveling out of state to draw labs. I pull labs roughly every 3/4 months. Never had any issue. Not even the slightest. Just lie about your address to bypass ordering. Use your real address on lab corp appointment setter

NY is the most anti-self ordered testing state in the country.

Only a handful have restrictions, but NY is the worst.

They also put AAS into Schedule II, because schedule III drugs don't have penalties as severe as NY wanted to impose.

I get where you're coming from but this is not foolproof. My local Labcorp in NY was like this and I followed the exact protocol you mentioned with no issues for a while, one day they must've gotten their training and stopped accepting any labs ordered by anyone not in the state (Marek and others).

So you luckily have Labcorps near you that clearly don't care, but that does not mean for anyone else that is a surefire thing. Was the same way for me until about a year ago, and now all the one's within an hour of me (about the same distance to just go to CT) will all immediately turn you away.

Not quite sure man. I’ve used many lab corps. Some in nj and some in ny. Have also used the same ones repeatedly. Sometimes even multiple times a month.

Identification required? Bring a passport. Doesn’t display your address. They aren’t required to verify an address. Simply require verification of identification.

If you show your drivers license and they ask why address don’t match labs, simply say you’ve recently moved.

Past year and a half alone I have pulled labs 6 different times. 5 different lab corps. Not one issue.

Again, still think you’re lucky. I’ve even had to give my ID at any labcorp, had previously used the method you mentioned, never had a problem or needed to verify a single thing. Not to mention I’ve even had my out of state doctor and Fitomics on different occasions happily write my order with my actual NY address, the address has no impact whatsoever unless the ordering party (Marek/Algo now, they didn’t used to care) doesn’t allow it.

One day I went in and they went (only had given my name) “oh this is one of those telemedicine places. Yeah, not allowed to do these anymore in NY, they’re really cracking down on us for doing these. Doctor has to be in state”

Tried 3 other labcorps on 3 separate occasions, same thing.

Granted, has been a year since I’ve tried, but I’m telling you sure as day you’re still lucky you haven’t been turned away. Not saying to stop doing what you’re doing obviously, but saying your experience -> not 100% repeatable nor indicative of what will happen for others. It’s NY state law it can’t be an out of state doctor, and any labcorp that is drawing your blood is breaking that.

I used to go to PA for blood tests, but recently I just order any discounted LabCorp test on a PA address and go to my local LabCorp in NJ and they don't say a word.

Done this about 2-3 times. Well also most of the staff in my local branch barley speak English too.

I got turned away from 3 different labcorps last week for having marek orders. I finally just paid the 3rd one out of pocket so I could get the work done. Not sure if I can get my money back from marek. sucks.

NY has gone full nanny.

No, they are walk-ins here. wouldn't matter, it's a system limitation. they explained that they are not allowed to bill out of state Dr.'s now so they can't get reimbursed by Marek like they used to.

I can of course use Labcorp on demand but their tests are expensive as hell compared to Marek. They and Quest have a monopoly now in NY.
