What to add to Reta for appetite suppression? Tirz, Cagri, or something else?

I've been on Reta for about 4 months now. Started at 1 mg/week and slowly titrated up to my current dose of 3 mg/week. It raises my heart rate a little bit. And, it gives me some GERD. But, I haven't really experienced any appetite suppression. And, I haven't lost any weight. My LDL has gone down though. So, I'd like to stay on it. But, I'm looking to stack it with something else that gives me a bit of appetite suppression. I've heard both Tirz and Cargilintide are effective for this purpose. Any suggestion as to which is better? And, how should I dose them (considering I plan to continue using the Reta)? Open to other GLP-1s as well. But, I'm probably going to avoid Sema, as it seems to have the most undesirable side effects (e.g., nausea).

Its weird @Ghoul, its kind of like the dosing strategy was studied, using more than n=1 and then analyzed to find the best risk reward profile...huh imagine that.

Development expenses for Tirzepatide were over $3,500,000,000.

For $3.5 billion, you get a team of hundreds of scientists working for years to establish dose levels, titration schedule, etc.

I get that it's a broad formula that has to work across a wide range of folks, so it's not optimized for everyone, but it's certainly a good place to start before deviating from it.

Personally, I've reached my goal and don't need anything stronger, but I'm wonder which is more powerful?

Reta + Cagri?

vs

Reta + Sema?
To my knowledge Cagri is significantly stronger than semaglutide (Sema) in terms of appetite suppression. You need so little dosing to get a lot of appetite suppression.
Tesofensine = Final boss (skull emoji). That bitch is extreme in appetite suppression and literally increases ur TDEE. Literally burn more at rest.

Do not add Tirzepatide. You’ll be duplicating GLP-1 agonism, which is already ineffective in your case and could worsen GERD/nausea.

But at ur experience I'd say try Cagri

I'd say try splitting ur dose and timing it differently. When I supplement my Cabergoline, I had many people say it causes some GERD and some other stuff so taking it pre-bed eliminated it.

I combine Sema with Reta. I experience minimal nausea. It’s highly cost-effective, and sometimes the appetite suppression is too effective, forcing me to force myself to eat. To manage this, I keep the Sema dose low. Currently, I take 4mg of Reta on Wednesdays and 0.75mg of Sema on Sundays. If you’re concerned about the Sema you start even lower than the 0.25mg starter dose. I don’t intend to exceed 0.75mg. In my experience, the adverse effects of Sema don’t happen until doses of 1mg or higher. Reta also slightly increases my heart rate and doesn’t suppress my appetite sufficiently at 4mg. However, when I increased my dosage to 6mg, my heart rate increased more, causing some anxiety. Therefore, my current optimal dosage is 4mg of Reta and 0.75mg of Sema. Your experience may vary, and if you haven’t purchased ondansetron (Zofran) from an Indian pharmacy, I highly recommend doing so. It effectively alleviates the occasional nausea I experience after my injections. It’s incredibly effective and incredibly affordable. I believe it costs around $1.20 for 10 4mg quick dissolve pills from a source mentioned on this board.

Reta doesn’t have the same hunger suppression but I was able to keep body fat low and put on lean muscle tissue while at times eating way too much. It does something to my metabolism the other two did not.
That sounds pretty amazing. Can anyone confirm this?

I suppose it doesn't matter because energy balance would determine how "full" you felt, right?

It improves metabolic function and even eating a surplus didn’t cause an increase in BF %. Of course my diet was clean’ish and I workout and do cardio. I am not sure if anyone else has experienced the same but for me it is the bodybuilder GLP.

My experience was pretty similar. I lost weight faster with Reta than I had lost on Tirz, even though I didn't have as much appetite suppression as Tirz. But I was also doing a lot of cardio and weightlifting and not eating like a total asshole.

Whoever wrote that article is a retard. Concerns about "kidney issues" and then mentions one study participant got kidney stones..as if it's not a statistical certainty that at least one or multiple people would develop kidney stones with that many participants in that length of time. LOL

Headline of so many articles: Doctors concerned about GLP-1s causing muscle loss!

Buried in the article: weight loss causes muscle loss.

Everybody’s out there working for the clicks.

Yea. I was mainly posted it for their comments on metabolism and fat burning.

I mean I’ve never combined Reta with Sema, or Reta with Cagri. I used Sema, then moved to Tirz, then switched to Reta. Then I quit Reta when I got hiccups for 22 days. I was hungry as hell after that so I experimented with Cagri. I was on 5mg Tirz for 5 months, added 4mg Reta. Increased Reta after two months to 6mg and dropped Tirz completely.

For weight loss Tirz is the best. I found that hunger suppression was sufficient without the sides that Sema gave me. Plus on a caloric deficit I dropped 45 pounds in 5 months. But I felt a little lazy and not very motivated on Tirz (not really fatigue) so I tested out Reta for maintenance. It worked great.

What dose of Tirz made you not motivated? Did you inject it 1x a week or more?

Also what Reta dose are you using for maintenance?

Once I got to 7.5mg Tirz I felt kind of lazy and lacking motivation. And it wasn’t from caloric deficit either. I was eating plenty of healthy foods.

Once I made the switch to Reta I eventually increased to 8mg and remained at that dose for many months.

Cool! so your just on 8mg reta now and got your motivation back?

Well, about that. lol. There is a thread on here of mine where I increased from 8 to 10mg and got hiccups for 22 days straight. The new 50mg Reta I had purchased was actually 58mg so I actually went from 8 to 12mg.

Anyway. I stopped taking Reta for two months and I restated a couple of months ago and I am now up to 4mg and taking my time increasing.

But to answer your question. I have plenty of energy and motivation on Reta. It’s a bodybuilders/weightlifters GLP for sure. If I had to better explain how Tirz made me feel the word would be Anhedonia. The term Anhedonia refers to reduced motivation, reduced anticipatory pleasure, and reduced consummatory pleasure.

It's not an uncommon negative side effect. Insulin and glucagon are definitely tied into the body's reward system, particularly dopamine. There are lots of anecdotes about people quitting alcohol while on GLP-1s, and reduction in the effects of stimulants and opiates (although I suspect it also has a lot to do with slowed absorption).

I've definitely had to increase my doses of nicotine to feel the same hit since starting, although my total use has gone down overall.

I wouldn't call my experience full-blown anhedonia, it hasn't sucked the fun out of my favorite activities. It definitely did for food though. I only eat for fuel now. Social meals seem like a complete waste of time.

Wow it's crazy how 7.5mg tirz made you anhedonic yet 12mg of reta didn't...

Were you injecting 1x a week or microdosing?
