Old guys..what's the craziest practice that was normal years ago but is insane now?

Just out of curiosity for our "seasoned" members...What were some steroid practices that were considered the standard in your day that people would think you are crazy if you did now?

IE coming completely off between every cycle, cycle "bridging" with orals, oral only cycles, etc.

Tren dosing "standards" of 100 mg daily. Insanity. 200 - 300 mg per week at most is plenty for even the most seasoned big bastards. I run 5-10 mg daily.

500mg minimum for your first cycle
test/deca/dbol is the best cycle
trenbolone is the nectar of gods, gets you shredded, insanely strong
anavar is for girls
growth hormone lets you eat like an asshole and stay shredded
insulin will kill you
 
Deca and winny was for cutting
Deca dbol, or Primo dbol was for bulking.
I've got Mike Mentzer's training journal for one of the Olympias somewhere, he ran Deca//NPP/Dbol for almost the whole contest prep and only cut out Dbol like a week out from the contest. And looked pretty damn good that year... People would think you were a loon if you did that now.
 
I'm not an old guy but one of my vet friends recently told me how you used to use whatever the hell needles you could get ahold of.

Couldn't just buy them on amazon so if all you had was an 18G you were putting that spear in your ass or not taking your gear. Sharing wasn't that crazy either which makes perfect sense with the post above about diseases spreading through it.
 
eating right, doing cardio vs using glp drugs to be anorexic. powerbuilding. not using dnp. training to failure. not being scared to pin IM

Was training everything once a week something more common back in the day? Cause there's still a shit ton of dudes doing the bro split.

It was in my circles. The prevailing science (which I happen to agree with) debunks this approach. I wonder how much more progress I could have made in the 80's and 90's with more modern approaches. With trainkng knowledge and gear availability, its never been easier to build strength and/or a physique

How does that make sense?
fat can be lost easily by not eating like a pig and sitting on the ass. anyone who is so weak they cant control what they eat isnt lifting hard anyway...GLP users trust big pharma that these drugs wont fuck up their pancreas...natural consequences,,not to mention reports of muscle loss and people completley losing their glutes.

why do you need these drugs, why can't you cobtrol your food intake like others? addicted to food?
