Hey guys, im new to the site, 33 years old and have had type 1 diabetes since the age of 10.

Ran my first cycle after 5 years of training at 22 years old. 15 weeks of whatever I could get my hands on test-wise aimed for 500mg/week test-e, split between 2 doses.

Stopped training for ~8 years due to life i guess ‍

Back to it for a couple years now, jumped on 450mg test-cyp for 20 weeks recently, now down to 150mg/week cruise and when my next blood work is back will go to 450mg/week test-e and 50mg/day anavar.

Looking greay and big, 108kg with good vascularity all over. During this cycle I hope to just get shredded to living fuck and see where I go from there!

Blood work at the end of my recent cycle was insanely good. Kidneys and liver were that of a healthy non-diabetic guy. My diet is extremely clean. Degree in nutrition and worked in the industry for over 10 years so know my way around a diet.

Any advice or things I should consider with T1D and gear are welcome. I know im at higher risk of just about everything

Tips on blood pressure control are most welcome as that seems to be what I struggle with most.

if blood glucose is chronically high you should not be using EQ/ at least keep your RBC and HCT in check. i measured one of my buddies (a fat fuck also using EQ, probably on his way to type 2 diabetes) with my old blood glucose monitor and the blood we drew with the pokey needle thing looked like stew (at a 170mg/dl blood sugar). dont wanna imagine what his HCT is (possibly a quintillion).

I feel kinda sorry for his kidneys

Welcome!

Have I got a thread for you -- 27 pages of blood pressure discussion, still going on.

Thank you!

Yeh i dont really plan on stacking anything ontop of this. I'll see how I get on with anavar but depending on whether I choose to have kids, i'll "blast" on 450mg and cruise on 150ish until the end of my days.

RBC and HCT are good for the moment! But i'll keep an eye on it. Because Ive got bloodwork on file for the past 10 years at 6 month increments I can track abnormal changes.

At the end of my most recent cycle, I had the best bloodwork ive had since I was 20.

Do you have any experience to share about using gear as a T1D?

Honestly just track absolutely everything.

Its such an annoying thing to have and if any1 is like me, they've probs been in avoidance their whole life and not really been 100% on top of it.

When im training properly (with or without gear) I find that my bloods are fantastic because I track my macros, my insulin, my BG with the libre 3 CGM and go from there.

My insulin sensitivity is a bit shaky on gear but lowering calories to a deficit for cutting or a very minor excess for lean bulking helps with that. I find injecting EOD levels everything out a bit better without the peaks and troughs in hormones.

Take good care of your kidneys, liver and cholesterol (both) with some decent supps;

NAC
Coq10
Citrus bergamot
ALA
Astragalus
Omega-3
TUDCA

T1D is fun because it increases your risk of absolutely everything.

heart disease, impeded kidney function, clotting risk, alzheimers, going blind, neuropathy, ED (they dont warn you, but even with near perfect blood sugar/HBA1C (average of 5.7, highest ever was 7.1 & was resolved in 2 months) it happened to me before i turned 20, doctor who is the best/most knowledgeable in my country for T1 diabetes patients was just like: yeah, that happens to quite a few T1Ds cant do much about it.
also eating disorders, and a few other psychological disorders.
